Gaz!
Go for a rtr scx10, I do a custom d90 pack including a replica front bumper, rear bumper with mudflaps, rock sliders/ body mounts and all mounting hardware, I can even do you the links so it's a case of just bolting it all on. Doing it this way you would be looking at

the watchman
I would have to say the gelande 2. More scale chassis, the rails on a gelande 2 are exact replicas of the real deal, behind the axle steering so no nasty links in front of the axle i think you have to cut the chassis on a scx10 for the body to fit, i think. Build quality is better than a scx10, by far, all metal construction, i have been running my gelande 2 all year without a single problem, most weekends it gets a couple of hours run time, not a single problem. Axles are the correct width for the body. You can run a full interior without hacking it up as the scx10 has a centre gearbox, gelande box is at the front with a centre transfer box. Avoid the gelande 1 like plauge, the gelande 2 is by far the best rc4wd kit to date imo, lovely smooth alloy shocks, good quality bearings, the hardware is top notch, and the body simply bolts into place with 4 tiny screws, no need to make extra fittings, no faffing around, just build it and its done, add scale bits and upgrades as and when, steering servo is mounted up on the chassis out the way, not on top of the front axle, it just looks far batter. Trust me on this, the g2 is a very very capable truck, mine is stock exept for junfac carbon steel shafts, trail buster tyres, and it will easily give my scx10 a run for its money if my scx10 had the same tyres, articulation is the same, its just as good but the landy shell can really only run a max tyre size of 105mm with any serious rubbing issues, its a very nice quality reliable chassis thats as close to a proper 90 as you will get. Why spend the same if not more and then do alot of faffing about to fit a landy shell, get the real deal have done with it. And im not trying to sell you anything Edited November 26, 2014 by the watchman

Also, no you don't need to cut the rails to get the body to fit either. Otherwise, just lol..........
