OVERVIEW

The Blade® 180 QX combines the latest in quadcopter innovations with HD video and image capture capabilities. Utilizing SAFE technology, the 180 QX HD maintains superior stability in three flight modes. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor flight, the 180 QX is a personal eye in the sky from the experts in Heli excitement.

At any time during flight, with the press of a button, a pilot can trigger the still photo or video function on the camera with the included DSMX® 5-channel transmitter on the Ready-to-Fly model. This functionality can also be programmed into a compatible DSMX transmitter for the Bind-N-Fly® model.

SAFE Equipped
The 180 QX HD comes equipped with three SAFE enhanced flight modes. High and low angle flight modes were specifically designed to deliver stable video and image capture while the agility mode setting allows pilots to experience aerobatic flight with the assistance of the AS3X stability system.

In Stability Mode, the 180 QX HD operates with bank limiting and SAFE™ technology enhanced self-leveling characteristics. Two Stability modes provide the pilot with high and low-angle settings, allowing the quadcopter to be flown smoothly or more aggressively depending on your needs. Agility Mode has no flight envelope protection. All bank and pitch angle limits are removed, and the pilot can experience aggressive aerobatic flight with AS3X® technology providing a crisp, locked-in feeling at all times.
Adjustable Video Camera
Both the BNF and RTF versions of the Blade 180 QX HD include the E-Flite® HD camera that’s easily mounted to the frame between the sturdy landing gear struts. This lightweight camera is capable of software-enhanced 720p resolution video recording as well as 1.3 megapixel still image capture and can be used on other aircraft. Included for use with the camera are a 2GB Micro-SD storage card and USB charging cable.

Quite a nice middle of the ranger, although I imagine the price will be steep.

£150 RTF and £120 BNF

For £150 you can make a quite nice 450scale RTF from hobbyking

Yeah and there is the problem, it's waaaay over priced

If you compare the Blade Nano thing they made, to compete with the Hubsan X4, it weas a complete flop because the Hubsan was way better value.

It's out already isn't it? Or is it just the camera version I've seen.

Definitely one in my LHS.

£140 for the FPV version. I still do like blade products though they handle so nice and the build quality is a lot better then hubsan

Not at all, I crashed my Hubsan a ridiculous amount of times and the only thing that ever broke was 1 motor, but that was from falling from on top of a building straight to the floor and landed directly on the motor.

Hubsan build quality is superb.
