Hi all, i am embarking a winter project of converting my nitro x1 crt to electric, had some good time with nitro but spent alot of time tweaking it to try get it running perfect, and im at a stage where i want to go down the local bike track throw it out my car and go bashing for a couple of hours without tuning things! so i stripped my hs m28-p3 engine out and all the running gear linked with nitro ( will be selling all this to fund the project if anyone is interested PM me) all im left with is the centre diff, steering servo and front and rear running gear!

so the 3 conversion kits ive found are

any suggestions if they are any good or is there an alternative that fits better?

my main concern is mounting the engine? im guessing the esc can be mounted on anything provided you make a little base for it? and a modified batter tray will go on the opposite side to the engine mounting?

im after a pretty good value for money engine and esc combo, i dont wana be able to do 70mph as i mainly bash on tight tracks surrounded by trees! im up for second hand if anyone has a spare they would like to sell a novice like me :) id rather spend the money on keeping the power at the wheels and keeping it on the ground, will my standard spur gear fit most pinions? sorry im a complete novice to world of brushless :)

First things first you are going to want to get rid of the stock 62t spur and drop it down to a 46t or 48t.

The Hong nor kits are very good quality, however ive never been a fan of asymmetric motor mounts. I use/used RC Monster mounts and Hong Nor plastic servo/rx box and lipo tray.

speed wise you will get a healthy 60Mph+ on 6s if you run a 2200kv motor and a reasonable 17t pinion, you can gear it up, but I think you will find 60Mph more than fast enough lol

I hope that helps point you in the right direction
