  1. I thought I’d start my first post by paying some respect to the RC that got me into the hobby a re - release hornet. This poor thing had to put up with my appalling driving for 6 years, a full overhaul was the least I could do. New chassis tub, bumper, side guards, and some thicker steering rods just to give you an idea of the neglect my hornet went through. I wanted to do something slightly different for the body, so I ordered a grasshopper shell and some decal sheets. I really wish I painted the hard body but it’s a bit late for that now🤦🏻‍♂️. The final result was roughly inspired by the Bell ray bullet. I have quite a few cars that are more capable than the hornet but even to this day it’s still one of my favourites. By the way, please excuse the bold tires I use them as an ‘excuse’ when I crash😅. Let’s see your Hornets and Hoppers and let’s show some love for these classic icons.
  2. Been a long time since starting thread on this great forum, but after reducing my fleet over the last two months, it was time to go shopping, and there it was on EBay, could not believe my luck. Having had one of these back ‘79, which was brand new and I had great time build it and then running, of course times were very different with brushed motors, msc and nicad batteries, so very short run times.... It will arrive in good time, and then the fun starts, it needs a good clean, then it’s time for a brushless system and decent steering servo. Updates to follow... Then it will be ready for a run with @willb‘s 6 wheeled Tyrrell...
