Looking mint there Jim. Going to be 12+ 5IVES on the track this week-end : BZMs , Oneil FM LR , 50s , Oddifieds. Still waiting for "Psyshow" to lay down the graphics for my new shell. Happy days . I know it's going to be top class.

Thanks , Here some other pictures as it was being painted. Decal sizes being worked out etc. Simple rattle can gradient green from nose to back end Preview of decals (designed by Psyshow) Decals printed onto plain paper to gauge correct size & shape. As for pricing , i'm lucky who i know This thread has some excellent (How to's) & tips for bringing costs down . Body Shell Design Thread Hope that helps a bit Thanks

Thanks , I was unfortunate to miss buying a ticket for the RC Jam , annoying as it's only 35 mins away . A few of the RAW racing outfit did buy tickets. Yes, Fg square . this will mean going back to FG type wheel (Glued).... If the sun continues to bake the ground hard ,get a set of cubics , very similar to what your running ( may have to re-adjust your gear ratios) A set of KCR step studs for when it's rained & the ground is softer. Stripped my engine back earlier . get that sorted this evening. EDIT : The Bull dogs are excellent , was using them few weeks ago.

Hello , Thanks for the positive (on topic ) comments. i'm very pleased with the design . Asked a friend of mine to design it . All he had in the brief was (Green ) please..... & he came up with this . Be awhile before it's shown as i'm pulling the car completely to pieces .Didn't want to burden the forum with yet another strip down thread. thought this may be of interest. thanks.

Its nice......... BAJA 5b is better looking IMO.

Every KM BAJA i've seen , has the engine pop after 40 mins in exactly the same way . Casting goes around the cyclinder head bolt ( rear one) Cheap fix @ £60 . But as mentioned earlier .simply enjoy it then repair it .

Will be a combination of Vinyl wrap & paint.

@ Cerbrus 2 . They weren't the Phatdads .Snapped the DS-V1s , after 3 years use . I've got something rather special arriving soon though.

AVOID!

1. Bend it back ( By hand if need be) 2. Cut a new section the same shape & weld it on . Below is a chassis that was completely snapped & a new section was added, doubling it's thickness. Or 3. Buy a scorpion unlimited chassis brace My link These will be your cheapest solution.

Always thought the BAJA 5B looked slightly TONKA ish . The T is better but i prefer the look of FG Scale . But IMO the BAJA out performs FG on true off road terrain .

I have the best of both:D custom built chassis The suspension travel along with the shorter wheel base , but a shorter run time 15 mins or about 30 laps + if i;m quicker.

Let me put another way . If these were 1/1 cars i wouldn't be seen dead competing in a jelly mold. Where as the cheetah would intimidate all the competition . I can guess MCD owners feel comfortable in the knowledge there's a great chassis underneath , IMO this just makes it better .
