  4. There might be slight differences in core speed but nothing major enough to make a difference real difference. Apart from that there's no real differences. If you were going to crossfire them, different brands will work with eachother.

  11. i'd go for an arctic freezer 7. (i got one ;P) it kept an e6400 well under 25 idle at stock speed, and about 32 idle/45 stressed with an overclock. (2.13ghz to 2.9) the pushpins can be a bit fiddly though just bought a e5400 to replace the e6400 but i need to flash to bios but i'm scared of crashing it ;p

  17. +1 tis about fallout 3 for me
  18. The next "upgrade" was the servo, the standard chassis tells you to cut off half of the servo tab off, i did it with a rubbish as-16 servo i had lying around but it soon broke i wasn't prepared to cut another one so i modified the chassis and used some aluminium mounting posts from a tt-01 new servo futaba s3014 Cut part of the chassis near the belts Now for the first bit of CF
  19. Next was the front suspension. The extended ballends wouldn't work with these but the A arms could still go lower. i extended the pushrods this got the front upto 13mm. After being able to get my GCSE DT project back (carbon fiber electric savage conversion which didn't work lol) I can now start cutting it up to make parts for the ta-05 The teachers also let me keep the rest of the CF i didn't use so now i've got a fairly large amount. The sheets are about 4mm thick but probably aren't as strong as factory processed carbon fiber (laminated by hand so alot more resin used and less actual CF cloth)
  20. Hi, After being out of RC for 3/4 months i thought ill start again with this project. I bought a bog standarad ta05ifs (already built secondhand) added my Mamba max and had fun for a week, my charger blew up so i spent £70 on that, then my mamba max blew up. That's where it ended.... Origional model, (not mine) To this i added some roll bars, TRF shocks, some cheapo 19T motor and a heatsink. Then i raised the chassis height a bit as ill only be running on tarmac, but i wanted to keep the rear shocks at the biggest angle i could without limiting the droop and also i needed the suspension to be soft without bottoming out The answer came with some extra long shock ends. I could use these to make the overall length of the shock longer without using spacers (that compress the springs which makes the suspension harder) The rear ride height is 16mm (don't know the front yet)
