In all honesty, I wouldn't worry too much about heat issues as MMMs tend to run cool afaik, so stick 22/54 on and see what it's like I was running about that with my eZrun, which got a bit warm with Big Joe 40s, but the MMMs are massively more efficient so should run cool

22/54 is probably a good starting point Get acouple more spurs and pinions to adjust the gearing if you can afford it. As for "will it get hot", it depends on how much cooling there is
