4s balance extension leads and charge cables. Hopefully will be pressed into use tomorrow!

Motor bolts worked loose last time out so that partly messed up the spur. Got it back together with a fairly decent mesh to keep going. Then the input gear on the diff died nearly taking the teeth off the diff. I was going to fit steel anyway just ended up doing it sooner than planned!

Replaced the rear diff for a steel version, replaced the spur gear for the steel one, fitted rear rpm arms, and replaced all the pivot balls in the linkages! Phew! Glad I replaced the spur/slipper clutch as I found a crack in the old one after swapping it out!

Whats the battery fitment like in the Maxx v2 (Widemax)? What are lipos are you using with it?

Does anyone get near Dalby at all? Adderstone field would make great place for a meet up. Just need some ramps etc for added interest. Could use the jump park but it maybe in use.

Well warranty wise it does. I’m in two minds about traxxas but not because of any preconceptions as I’ve been out of the loop long enough to miss all the Arrma carry on. Anyway as I mentioned I’ve not made up my mind fully yet and may end up in the Traxxas side of things!

Yeah that’s the thing. I’m lazy and want to be able to run right off the bat! Also like to keep a warranty in tact for as long as possible.

Buggy’s not my Dads bag, plus truggys seem to fit what we’re about. Have considered the Hyper SSTE though would need the connectors changing to fit the EC5 lipos we’re using.

It is but it fits with what we have already (Lipo wise) without sacrificing warranty etc. I was going to hit up MS for a cheeky deal possibly for a Kraton and a Talion. Haven’t fully made up my mind yet as I’m still awaiting funds from selling a load of old reenactment gear.

In fairness I quite fancy Traxxas it’s just the price that’s a bit off putting. I’m looking at getting two 1/8th scales, one for me and the other for the old man. I can get two Arrmas that suit us for just over a grand. I’d be getting a max and a revo I think otherwise.

No mate as no big jumps where we run them. Going to change the axles and see if it sorts it.

Spent quite a bit of time doings turtle impressions with the Arrmas. Also found I’ve got wobbly back wheels on the Vorteks! IMG_3214.MOV
