  1. This is my most frequent General bashing location. Some long tarmac/concrete for thrashing and a plethora of different terrains and ramps. Can get a little busy at times but plenty of space. Thought I'd drop a thread here in case anyone else is localish for potential meet ups. Brooklands Community Park & Skate Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/SbZCp6oA3DAVijvF7
  2. Just wondering if there is anyone that makes a standard Mk2 fiesta bodyshell? Had one as my first car and would love to eventually try and remake it in RC form. Probably a bit to niche but worth a punt 😁
  3. Nice evening bashing at Brooklands community park. Pretty much used my brushed Carnage as a camera car to chase around after my bud's brushless Carnage 🤣 had a great crack!

cool thats what its all about bud 🙂

  4. This is a screen shot from the esc manual I found, I believe it's the correct one, if I'm reading it correctly it says you should use min 2s max 3s. please correct me if I'm wrong as I would prefer to not burn down my building if possible...our neighbours are a bit funny about things like that 😄
  5. I was telling my wife how I got offered a really good price on a new Tamiya Grasshopper kit but turned it down as I have been overspending. Her response "don't you have to many remote controlled cars already?"

I guess 13 years of marriage was a good run.

  6. Fml did another Google search for the esc and got a load of results this time 🤦🏻‍♂️ including one on this forum from 2013 chastising someone for being lazy and not googling it 😬🤣 I swear it only gave me a load of other unrelated esc sales posts...honest guv!😂 Even more embarrassing is the first result is a pdf of the $%$^ing esc manual 😂
  7. Cheers mate, will do some more Google digging. I thought the servo may have been changed as normally the FTX servos seem to be Etronix to match the motor and esc. The esc is confusing as the twin resistors/capacitors(?) sticking out the side actually overhang the chassis slighty and stick up high enough to stop the body from sitting properly. Cheers
  8. That was the idea 🤣 I didn't want Lipos lying around while waiting for storage. it's a chicken and egg scenario or like buying a wallet and then having no money to put in it 🤣
  9. Got my super high tech lipo storage solution today.....I don't actually own any Lipos but that's beside the point 🤣
  10. Recently bought a brushless Vantage on ebay (£63 Inc postage, with no transmitter, receiver, battery or charger) and have not had a chance to look it over until now. I was hoping to double check the motor, esc and servo are correct as they look different to the images I've seen on line. The esc I couldn't find much info on at all. It seems to have Schumacher wheels (rear branded but not front) with proline dirt hawg tyres all round, which I assume are better than the originals?? (Apologies for the inadvertent middle finger 😂) I don't have a part list as I don't have the manual if anyone could point me to a cheap copy of that it would also be appreciated Obviously I bought the car as a project so have realistic expectations but just making a list of things I might need to double check as this is my first Brushless RC and will be my first experience with lipos (once I buy some lol) Ordered the dumborc x6 from banggood which I guess should be compatible. Any general advice on what to check would definitely be welcome.
  11. Obviously an older post but thought I'd add my tuppence worth. I enjoy Kevin's video and, although chaotic, I have learned quite a lot being new to the hobby. That being said sometimes I'm not in the mood for his vids so I watch others and then return to his channel when it takes my fancy. Between Kevin, Tomley, RCKiwis, RcKicks, tamiya legends, beyond RC, Shen RC, grandadisanoldman, RC Saylors, Ampro, Mark Bryan RC, RC Review, RcDriver online, etc. I've learned a lot and they have all contributed to giving my 42 year old butt the confidence to give the hobby a try...Kevin in particular made me see I don't have to be overly precious with my RCs as fixing, tinkering and building is half the fun. Anyways thanks to all who make the hobby accessible for born again kids like myself 😂
  12. Only just saw these and I second the motion 🤩
  13. does it come with the driver? And more importantly does the driver come with those fetching cowboy boots?🤩😂
  14. Won this on eBay for £55 + £8 postage Looking forward to having a good valet and tinker 🤩 Massive props for the avant-garde packing technique 🤣
  15. Luckily I was filming or noone would believe me 😲🤣 546431523_carnageblowsup.mp4
  16. I've found my Tracer's servo has a bit of an issue lately. You can hear it jittering away to itself when stationary, still seems to run alright but the steering trim does occasionally seem off but then it seems OK again. TBH it drives like a hyperactive ferret with it's tail on fire most of the time so it adds to the fun 🤣
  17. Found these when sorting out a cupboard, in a bag I got at the gadget show live in 2010. Thought they might be of interest to an HPI fan Happy to send them out for the price of postage.
