  1. Someone on the FB group said i should check and re-loctite some of the screws but didn't elaborate. Any suggestions what i should check? Have nipped all the ones underneath up and you can see all the loctite on the braces and stuff already so i'll leave them alone. Of course it's forecast rain for the next 2 weeks lol
  2. ALDI saved the day, still not happy about it though!
  3. I'll go get a screw extractor from screwfix and try that. Bit of a bummer and not a good first impression though 😫
  4. Got it today, just waiting for my oils before i can take it out. Lovely bit of kit but I don't know how it got through quality control but i've just gone to take the spur off the centre diff and one of the screws is completely round and i can't get it out without cutting into the spur gear which i'm not prepared to do on a brand new car. The other 3 came out easily. Have e-mailed corally. 🤬
  5. Would prefer pure carbon fibre, I'll be using it to make/replace some parts and would prefer the strength of the full carbon. I can get the covered abs stuff cheap but it's a bit meh
  6. Where are people getting there Carbon fibre sheets from? Been looking around and places like eBay are £60+ for a 3mm A4ish size. Seems a bit much to me, I'm sure the last one I bought was about £35 and it was really good quality but they have closed their account now. 😟
  7. Does anyone know why it takes model shops so flippin long to send stuff?
Modelsport £4ish next day but takes them 4 days to post it, MIBI and Wheelspin the same.
Only decent one is RCGeeks with £2 postage and is actually next day delivery but don't stock anything for my car(s)

My experience from modelsport and wheelspin for parts in the past have always taken atleast 2 to 3 days to post and 4 to arrive unless you spend over £100 then it's next day

No problems with Modelsport, mixed results with WheelsSpin, Aligntrex twice sent the wrong parts...

can someone close/delete this please, bought a Kronos instead!
  9. Don't bother with the Carnage, The Rival MT10 is supposed to be one of the best 1/10 bashers you can get
  10. Everything bought and paid for, roll on next week 😆 After watching even more videos about it i think i'll be fine at the place i'm taking it until the fix gets rolled out, i think 4/5 foot jumps should be manageable without breaking anything providing i can land it properly haha.
  11. I'm gonna do 100/300/100 for now and see how i get on with it and go from there
  12. I'm getting my springs and oil all from makeitbuildit to save on postage and they only have traxxas 500k weight but out of stock 😥
  13. yea i joined yesterday to ask for advice. I ideally want it on 4 wheels as much as possible so i'm not sure what weight to put in the centre. I'm still quite new to whole diff oil thing
  14. what diff and shock weights would you recommend? someone on the FB group said 90wt for the shocks but no suggestions for diffs. I saw a youtuber with 1million wt in the centre but sounds a bit much?! I saw in the manual it says 7.5k front 5k centre and 3k rear which i already have left over from my VS. I can't find corally hard springs in stock anywhere so was suggested to get kraton ones in the mean time https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/303551/ https://wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/303552/ they seem the right sizes
  15. Bought a Kronos XTR 🤦 I know the ST is a proven platform but it's relatively dated and the Kronos does look like a bargain at £315 compared to an ST conversion
  16. Thanks for the replies. Ill probably take it more local anyway as the track is miles away and not worth wrecking it for, but even at the closer track it can get 4-6 feet off the floor on grass which I would expect it to be a bit more durable on, especially when the upgrades get sent out. Decisions, decisions. I do like the fact corally listen to the customers though and fix the issues, even if it does take them ages
  17. Thanks, the only thing that worries me about it is the balls popping and breaking stuff. I've had my VSe since about June i think and been using it at a bmx track jumping 12-15 feet in the air and the only thing that's ever broke was a lower front hinge pin and that's it! I just want something that can take that sort of abuse and not send me home ****** off and waiting for parts. That's what REALLY annoyed me with the FTX and completely put me off the brand as a whole. It will be my one and only RC so don't want to be spending more time wrenching on it than taking it out
  18. Hi guys, read through this thread a bit and just wondering if anyone has the XTR https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/1336166 and what it was like durability wise when jumping (bmx track?) I've had feedback about it from stormbringer and yrkoon in the Hyper thread as i'm torn between getting one of these or a Hyper ST conversion at the minute as they would be around the same price! (I know about the pivot ball issue) or would i be better off looking at something else around the £400 mark? Align trex have the roller for £315 but the code ends tomorrow (23rd) so i need to make a decision about it pretty quick lol
  19. Fair enough, I just don't want to end up with another FTX Carnage that breaks everytime i take it out, it really was a piece of 💩
  20. Thanks for these, Looking at the Kronos vid i think i'll probably go with the ST, most the vids i watched of the Kronos it's either on 2 wheels or on it's back 90% of the time lol....it's probably fun but what's the point if you can't drive it (no reflection on you) I was watching claires vids about it aswell, which is the one i'd get and there seem to be some pretty bad design flaws, albeit it's the more extreme side of bashing but it is advertised as an extreme basher!
  21. nice cheers, looks like dogbone used the VS tray so i'll give that a go first, if it's crap i'll try the V2 one lol
  22. Is the Kronos tray any better than the VS one for 2x2s? i always thought the VS tray was a bit 💩 If i can get something a bit better then i will do
  23. Do you know if i'll need anything else if i bought a new roller? Does the VS battery tray work on it? Car, VS motor mount and VS battery tray for £315 ain't too bad!
  24. I'll do some more research before committing anyway but i'll still probably end up with an ST after having the VS, just because of how much of a beast the VS is 🤣 it's like £800 durability at half the price lol
  25. I'm not against buying one as they are a similar price (rtr) to the ST after conversion but not sure if it would be any better than the ST, you get a lot of bang for your buck with the pro but the kronos is such a good looking truggy. It's a shame timetunnel don't sell the corallys as i would buy one without the electrics, my max8 combo is only about 6 months old and i'd lose too much money on it if i had to sell it and can't justify having more than one car as i don't get to use them enough. Seen the Kronos at £315 roller with full upgrades, seems like a good buy. It's so bloody hard choosing 🤦‍♂️ I think if i can't get a cheap second hand ST i might just get that upgraded Kronos. Looks like a bit of a bargain tbh, a few places selling it for about £315 https://alshobbies.co.uk/Team-Corally-KRONOS-XTR-6S-2021-18-Monster-Truck-Full-Option-Roller-C-00173?language=en&currency=GBP
