  1. This one also comes with a XT60 output. Is an adapter included?
  2. Hi, with Google translate I could understand you. Welcome to the forum. And it seems that this is your very first forum membership.
  3. You will still receive a fully functioning car tomorrow. Have some fun with it and when all things arrived take it apart and do the changes.
  4. 👍 Check the measurements!!!!! I think the 6000 might be too large and won't fit. Take the battery from my above link as a reference. For the ESC. It comes without anything. No. Until today there was no need for me. And since the motor has a temp sensor cable to the ESC, the ESC will shut down if the motor overheats. Then the surface of the motor is like a heatsink. Putting another heasink with a flat surface on it would make things worse. Unless it is a heatsink special for the hobbywing motor.
  5. It's sold by Dave, a fellow member in this forum. Here is his ebay shop: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/djwrctransmissions?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 Until yesterday he was out of stock. But now he has 32DP / 49 teeth spurs in stock: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FTX-Carnage-Vantage-Hooligan-Bugsta-Banzai-32DP-Hard-Steel-Spur-Gear/264098795518?hash=item3d7d83cffe:g:dagAAOSwfplcO6pG Sadly, he doesn't have the set in stock. You could get the Team Corally hardened steel pinion, like I did: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corally-32-Dp-Pinion-Short-Hardened-Steel-12-Teeth-Shaft-Dia-3-17mm-C-71512/203103113812?hash=item2f49e39254:g:bqsAAOSwhnNfWz5o There are other teeth number available as well. Important: 32DP and 3.17mm shaft to fit the Hobbywing motor. Edit: correcting my mistake. The spurs have 47 teeth. Bad memory. :-)
  6. Since the 3300KV is close enough to the stock 2950KV, I suggest to use the 3300KV. Then you wouldn't need to change the pinion. If you go for 4000KV then you need have a smaller pinion to reduce the gear ratio. That's what I did. I then bought the hardened steel spur (49 teeth with 32DP pitch) And a Team Corally pinion with 10 teeth. If you go for hardened steel with a 3300KV motor, then you can go for the 12 teeth pinion. 10/49 good for 4000KV 12/49 good for 3300KV Performance is then the same. Somewhere in the Carnage/Vantage thread I made a complete calculation example in regards to Lipo voltage, KV, pinion & spur. ( I don't want to repeat it here :-) )
  7. I think you will have plenty of fun for quite a while. We have already reached a point where we are thinking of going bigger. 9 months after first purchasing the FTX Bugsta (=Carnage) they are getting a bit boring.
  8. I took some videos of my tuned Carnage some time ago. Handled by my son. Actually it is his car.... You get a taste of what you are getting into once you try out 3S Lipos ( after you got bored with 2S ) :
  9. Balance option means the cells are individually checked while being charged. You meant storage charge. :-) Yes, it has it. Any many more options. Easier for you to read the manual: https://www.skyrc.com/t100 Best is that you can charge at 5A, almost 1C for the Zeee battery. In 1 hour the battery will be full. Runtime is about 45 minutes with it. If you have budget for a second battery, go for it. You got a really good deal with £99. Even better now. Once you go crazy with 3S the car will start facing lots of stress. Like @Ant.p said: Diffs will go. For me, I keep on replacing bent CVDs. And 2 diffs so far. But with 2S everything is still quite safe. As for upgrading to alloy or carbon. Do it when needed. Otherwise it can just be waste of money.
  10. Well in that case. That is different as I understood before. Then allow me to recommend your path to happy RC driving... And again, I hope I don't overstep with it. And it is only based on my experience, which can be different from others... Lastly I need to correct the price for the Carnage 2.0. Last week it was £109. Now it is £119. 😒 You would need decide to still go on. £200 + £13 temporarily (virtually borrowed): FTX Carnage 2.0 for £119 - https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=444807 Hobbywing EZRun Max10 Combo with 3300KV motor for £90 - https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=420922 Solder Service for T-Plug (Deans) for £4 - Modelsport does it for you, but you can do it yourself, if you want. Once the car arrived: Take out the Motor, ESC. Sell Motor, ESC, Battery and Charger. Based on ebay prices you could make £30, if not more. That leaves you with the £50 voucher + £16 for battery and charger. I use these batteries: £21: Zeee 2S Lipo 5200mAh https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Zeee-5200mAh-Battery-Bullet-Helicopter/dp/B08DHFQW4D/ref=sr_1_17?dchild=1&keywords=zeee+2s+lipo&qid=1617133602&s=kids&sr=1-17 and this charger: £44: SkyRC T100 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=444856 + Adapter to Deans Spot on! The little challenge is the charger, as it cannot come from your voucher and the Amazon price is too high. Not 100% perfect. But maybe you go for a cheaper balance charger first, to stay in your budget. At the end, you will have a much better setup than with the stock brushless Carnage. And from my experience I can assure you that you will be happy.
  11. I get it. Did some research and you are right. Gift Cards must be used at amazon.co.uk. And the Carnage 2.0 costs there £144. In that case my above calculation won't work anymore. It's a shame.... Edit: Do you have a £200 or £50 gift card? Just read your above posts again in detail...
  12. I just checked something. I still have some credit in Amazon from an old return. Went to Modelsport and simulated a checkout. Amazon seems to first use the credit and then the remainder from my card. Can I assume that you are holding the gift card in your hands and then need to put in the code at Amazon checkout? In that case, you could try to apply the gift card in your Amazon account. That would give you credit. Then do the AmazonPay checkout at Modelsport. Another thing with Modelsport is their really excellent service. They are helpful, answer all questions and treat you fairly when it comes to warranty claims. Much better than any Amazon seller. Sorry, if I am talking too much about that. Hopefully I don't annoy you. :-) I think we are all trying to be as helpful as possible to ensure happy RC driving...
  13. Can you use your Amazon voucher also with AmazonPay? Then you could go to modelsport.co.uk and pay there with your voucher. They offer AmazonPay. Just a thought.... And yes, going with the Carnage 2.0 brushed, you will start with NiMH initially instead of LiPo. But I think the Hobbywing instead of the stock brushless ESC will compensate that disadvantage.
  14. I am not sure how the acetyl spur will hold. The hardened steel set cost about £26. Well invested and surely not wasted money. All my Carnages/Bugsta have it. Spur alone is £21. Then you can choose any pinion you like. ( I have the very common 32DP pitch and use Team Corally pinions ) If you go for Brushless, let me give you a calculation: Carnage 2.0 Brushed £109 + Hobbywing Max10 ESC/Motor Combo £94 - £10 for selling the old brushed combo = £193. Carnage Brushless £199. Difference: Hobbywing can go with 3S Lipos (3300KV/4000KV motor) giving you excellent performance later. Very water resistent. Temperature sensor cable from motor to ESC. More programming options. It also works with the delivered NiMH battery. In my opinion: Hobbywing is way better than Etronix. I went for a stock brushless intially. The ESC was gone after 3 months. Replaced it with a cheap Hobbywing Quicrun ESC. Still running. 2nd Carnage went straight for the Hobbywing Max10 Combo.
  15. quantum vandal = FTX Vantage = some chinese VRX Racing model. Mostly the same chassis. I think the top plate is different. Maybe the shock towers. Are you planning for brushed or brushless? I recommend to upgrade to alloy when something breaks. So far I only upgraded the rear shock tower to carbon after braking it twice. Rest needed no upgrade. Regarding pinion. Consider going straight to hardened steel. Especially if you want brushless.
  16. The Vantage is a bit faster, due to a slightly larger pinion. Otherwise the same as the Carnage. If you want to go off road once in a while, get a Carnage and add a Vantage pinion. :-)
  17. It could be your receiver. Swap the ESC / Steering cable and see if you can steer with the throttle and accelerate with the steering. Also if there is a throttle D/R on you transmitter, check that it is not set to 0.
  18. Hi, We have a very active thread just for Canage/Vantage. Nevertheless this is what I have done my Carnage, which is practically the same as a Vantage. Hobbywing EZRun Max10 Combo with a 4000KV motor. 3300KV is also fine. This servo: Etronix ET2072, https://www.etronix-rc.com/etronix-30-3kg-0-09s-std-digi-servo-hv-metal-gear-waterproof It has quite a high steering speed. But any good servo will be ok and better than the stock one. Like this, you can use 2S for "cruising" or 3S for madness. I recommend hardened steel spur & pinion: ebay shop from a fellow member of this forum: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/DJW-RC-Transmissions?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 Currently he has none, but you should wait for the ones with 32DP pitch. Larger teeth = stronger. Choose the right pinion for your setup. Factors to take into account: Speed or acceleration, chosen motor (4000 or 3300). I use a 10 teeth pinion and a 49 teeth spur. Be aware that you will put a lot of strain on the drivetrain and things tend to fail more quickly: driveshafts, differentials. The Vantage is fairly simple, so you easily get a hang of fixing, upgrading, etc. Here are some videos of what you are getting into after the upgrade:
  19. Hmm. Don't really understand you reasoning. Golf opens only as of today. Same goes with tennis courts, football fields and other outdoor sports. I wouldn't consider football a rich men's sport. Many other outdoor sports open from today, which are not "rich men's" sports. In addition from today we are also permitted recreational activities. That include pick-nicks as well as taking out your RC cars only for the purpose of it.
  20. You will have a good choice with that budget. If the budget is strict, keep the model price £100 lower to do the usual "recommended" upgrades. ie servo. You could possibly post a question in General RC, but then you will be flooded with opinions. Want my recommendation? . . . I have 1 criteria to keep the cost reasonable, if I would upgrade. Since you probably use 2S/3S right now, go for a 4S/6S model that uses 2 batteries. Then you don't need to invest in different batteries as well. A good example (but over the budget for you): Traxxas e-Revo 2.0 (dual 2S or 3S). A bad example: Traxxas Maxx (single 3S/4S battery).
  21. My usual tasks. Fixing up the Carnage for my son. Rear carbon shock tower. Hopefully, the suspension rods don't break out anymore. My son didn't believe that they are stronger. They are too light to be strong. I promised him a Traxxas e-Revo 2.0 if he breaks the new shock towers. He gave up after 10 minutes. Tethered body shell pins. No more loosing them. Rebuilt the diffs to keep as spares.
  22. Carnage diffs finally rebuilt: One round in the washing machine and the housing looks like new. And nice stainless steel cups for the CVDs. Rear carbon shock towers. My son always managed to break out the suspension rods. This should solve the problem once and for all. Last but not least. The body shell pins are now tethered.
  23. Got them already last week but haven't got around to post them here with required appreciation: Thanks to @Oh How Original for the ESC and to @everclear1984 for the joint purchase. And some more nice stuff for the Carnages: Carbon shock towers Tethered body shell pins. No more loosing then. Front CVDs to be put in the rear axle. Diff spurs for the rebuild. Yet another wheelie bar for last Carnage.
  24. ebay. Find then everywhere there. edit: Use steel ones! No alloy and surely not plastic.
