Has anyone considered doing the A2 CofC? Seems to make it a lot less restrictive in terms of where/how you can fly. i think you can fly anything up to 750g near uninvolved people, but not directly above them. Courses seem to be getting cheaper over time too, but the certificate lasts five years which isn’t bad at all.

I’ve been looking into this too actually - baking seems to achieve good/clean results and there are plenty of ‘how to’ videos online. Be careful to make sure your wheels are the ‘right type’ i.e. nylon rather than ABS plastic which will warp!

Just wondering if anyone knows of any potential issues in using the new E10 unleaded fuel in two-stroke engines? Would super/premium-unleaded be ok as an alternative?

Agree that they say they are and I thought it was all good until I noticed the declared value on the customs label they print and attach to the package - my last item was declared at 5 bucks, when it should have been 25 times that…. My worry is that Customs officers are well within their right to open the package and inspect the goods, where they’d probably realise that two alloy diff cases and a few other bits can’t be worth just £3.60 or so. Don’t know who would pick up the tab in that instance, but my guess is that I’d be the one being held to ransom.

Agree with you totally @Nitroholic. It’s frustrating how difficult it’s become getting anything from anywhere these days. I might have to get set up with the right equipment and make my own kick-ass car chassis’ like you do! 😀

Interestingly EuroRC have a separate website for UK clients where all prices are ex VAT so everything gets hit with VAT and customs charges on landing. On the other hand, I’ve pre-paid VAT on some high ticket items from AliExpress and the package arrives with a declared value of $5. Cheeky ***** are pocketing the extra!

@BashingBrian I feel your pain. Got stung in July by Royal Mail too. I ended up having to give them a call because i didn’t get a letter (5 or so days went by). The operator took my address and found the package reference to take payment. I got it delivered shortly thereafter. Hope this helps!
