  1. Absolutely love my fiesta. Had it for a month now and it's fantastic. Only issue is I found a Volvo 360 for sale and it's immaculate. It's one of my dream cars and I'd love to own one. I'd be able to afford it if I sold the fiesta. I don't know what to do :(

Have to agree with @m4inbrain, you will be truly disappointed driving the Volvo, even of its time it really didn’t compare well to its competitors.

My first car was a Mk1 Fiesta Supersport, I know if I drove it today it would ruin the memory for me.

The whole point of rwd is that I want to be able to go and drift. Drifting is my favourite discipline of motorsport and it's had been since I was about 10. I really want to get more seat time because renting a car for drift days as I have done in the past is too expensive in the long run.

A car like the Volvo with its low power could really help me increase my skill as a drifter because of its low power, it's enough to get the tyres loose but you can only hold a prolonged drift if you know what you're doing. I'd love to learn that.

I couldn't really care less about modern car features as I never use them anyway. Obviously I understand the safety differences but in London, you're not often going more than 20mph so it's not as big of a concern.

.. watched too much Initial D pal. :P

      You do you.

  2. Yeah I try get as close as possible so the chance of my car getting hot or scratched by another car is as small as possible lol
  3. Why don't you wanna buy a used one?
  4. You don't want a stampede but you want the Bigfoot? They're the same truck underneath. Even if you're talking about the 4x4 stampede, it still fits all the same bodies so you could buy a Bigfoot body separately and have a 4x4 monster truck like the real life Bigfoot.
  5. Looks the same as the surpass hobby 60amp systems which are a lot cheaper.
  6. Well on a micro scale car that I have, it makes the weight distribution wayyyyy more even so it turns better in both directions, so it made a massive difference.

    Pointless

Brushless is only really viable for 8th scale and under in terms of getting a lot of runtime. Lipos are cheap enough that you can buy enough and each battery will last about 15-20 mins. At 1/5 scale it's like £70 per 8s (2x4s) pack and you get 8 mins from it.
  8. I'd imagine there isn't really much of a place in the market for a truck like that, if there was then it probably wouldn't have been discontinued. So there might not even be a direct replacement.
  9. You'll get more runtime out of a brushless system
  10. Looks bloody gorgeous but that chassis doesn't fill me with much hope, maybe the shorter wheelbase of the outcast will mean less bendy bendy
  11. If the stampede can then the Bigfoot can. Measure the battery and then find the battery tray specs online. I don't see why it wouldn't. The entire chassis is basically just a big battery tray.
  12. I'd like to see how this holds up. I'm looking at getting a Baja of sorts in the future. Yet to decide which one.
  13. It's just a Traxxas stampede with monster jam wheels and a Bigfoot body. So it's gonna basically be exactly the same as the brushed stampede. As most Traxxas cars are, it's pretty durable. To my knowledge, the kingpins on these trucks are prone to bending and this can cause the caster blocks to snap. There are most likely upgrades for this issue though It can run lipo but only 2s. You don't really wanna run brushed setups on 3s for higher speed applications anyways.
  14. I love going onto the Facebook marketplace and finding bargains like a brushed ftx siege for £160 🙄

  15. In the height of the pandemic my Ecoboost came in 2 weeks. I think banggood has their stuff together rn
  16. I have 2 of these one in my 1/8 truggy and one just sitting. Used to have one in my 1/8 buggy but it was too slow. Buggies are agile so they need a fast servo imo. It's just about fast enough for the truggy because it's not as agile. But it still feels slow. I think the Ecoboost has spoiled me lol. I won't really settle for any slower in any of my rigs 😂
  17. Wheelspin always has cool niche stuff in stock that other shops don't like internal pink flame stickers and whatnot. Delivery has always taken a long time from them though.
  18. Fair enough. I only ever run them when they're dry. After all, only the electronics are waterproof, not the actual cars, and I don't wanna do a service after every run.
  19. Yeah I definitely wouldnt say it was nearly as common. But it's not like it was unfathomable like you said some people thought it was. Most of the big names in the RC electronics industry had 6s escs by 2010. They were very expensive though. I'm not sure waterproofing would put many people off certain electronics. I'd never put my RCs anywhere near water for their own good lmao. Even if all the electronics were waterproof.
  20. Wouldn't it just melt? Exhaust gases are really hot, hence the pipes being made of metal. So using a rubber tube wouldn't work.
  21. Nah people have been running 6s for well over a decade. The mamba monster came out in 2008 and that was an extremely popular esc that many people ran on 6s. That's only about 2 years after lipos became popular in cars. It was came as standard in the brushless e'revo for a long time. So I wouldn't say that's valid.
