  1. I've had an Ebay search for axles going for about 3 months mate; zilch results. This is why I went the AR60 route, otherwise I would've had the Capra axles. Good luck in your hunt🤞
  2. It arrived yesterday, and fitted up fine; will see how long this one lasts for! I'll keep the old one as I expect the gears are the same so can swap if needs be! Didn't want a seperate ESC to control a servo winch, hence the inexpensive option @stimpy.
  3. Did the same a few days back mate; different sizes from different suppliers so hopefully get something turn up in the next week. I'll still take some Vanquish if anyone has them though!

  5. Interested in opinions on which mini/micro is best value and ability to upgrade for those in the know. I'm leaning towards the SCX24 but wouldn't wish to ignore the 'other's, such as the Element 24, of FTX 24 (or is there an 18?), or I really like the RC4WD Gelande 1/18 but I've heard that's more for looks than ability? That said, there seems to be quite a lot of admiration towards the WPL stuff; what's the quality like on that? I'll be crawling them in the back garden or on the beach so defo needs to be capable which i'm thinking is going to require uprades whichever I go for. Size wise; just needs to fit in a backpack! Thanks in advance.
  6. Right; last night was a blast, the softer springs up front gave me new lines I couldn't manage before; really molds itself to the rock contours now. As requested sir: 13.5" / 344mm wb 80mm @ front of skid / 85mm at the rear Both ends compress down to 35mm Personally I think the skid is a tad poop; it's a 'generic' chinesium made to mimic te old Bender SW3 chassis but it has it's failing; like it's really long so tends to get hung up if I don't concentrate. Anyway, welcome your thoughts mate.
  7. Are you talking weeks then @stimpy? I was thinking this was like 2021! I'll hold on my SSD Trail Knf puchase for a while longer then🤞
  8. X2 on removing the spur cover, they're big and get in the way! There's 2 options on the front motor mount@Andy-Roo; the SSD Trail King / VFD route where it's still bolted to a traditional skid or the complete relocation up over the front axle between the shock hoops and then a divorced transfer case where the skid is. Both give loads of space for a proper interior. I'm hoping stimpy and Carl have got the latter in prototype [emoji16][emoji1696] Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  9. @Oh How Original and @stimpy. Some pics for you to ponder over. I'm taking her out again tonight now i've changed the front shocks; more of a droop set up for the front now and softer springs. Will see if that improves the handling. Not the greatest pics but I cba to take the wheels off as well - that can be done later!
  10. SSD Trail King for my next build, but that's just me! I'm after a very capable scaler type truck and have heard nothing but excellent reviews of the SSD. I've got SSD all over my other crawlers and have never had an issue with their kit, and it's a UK company so gets another tick in the box from me! Think Gaz is still trying to shift his Trailfinder if you're after something that looks absolutley mint and doesn't need anything doing it.
  11. Could do with any of the sizes below 475 please; all 4 mind! Really don't want to wait for international shipping and likely ransom note! Happy to pay RRP and postage. Thanks.
  12. It's for the boys scaler; he's so damn keen to use it when we're out an about. Had a very similar one before but one of the gears has gone so it's easier to replace as I managed to fry the controller yesterday😬
  13. Thanks oho, got that on my watch list now👍
  14. Save up and get some Pitbull rock beasts,.think they'll be right on size and are all round a superb tyre. The hyrax in predator are probably a bit better but I think too tall for your needs? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

    Winch

After a winch please; nothing fancy, pref with it's own control unit as I odn't have a spare channel on the Tx used for this rig. Can be a servo winch or whatever. Don't really want to spend more than £30-£40 but happy to consider better units. Thanks,
  16. There's one somewere; i'll find it and post in to bump it up at some point today. Found it; unfortunately it's in the picture section! I'll do another now it's moved on a fair amount and i'd value your input mate;)
  17. Just the backend, might overdrive the front at some point given its purely for crawling in the rocks. What's that likely to give me, 20-30%? Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  18. SSD ar44s I think. They're now on my boy's scaler [emoji106] Big difference going to ar60, hugely improved steering and articulation. Just need me some weights [emoji1696] Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
  19. Took the sporty out to Bonehill last night and was rewarded with some of the best weather we've had for quite a while, really warm evening with very light winds so perfect for some crawling This is a great sport for all out crawling; i'd love to build a MOA for it; perhaps 2021! Without further ado. Spectacular sunset.
  20. Thanks guys, appreciate the thoughts. Managed to get out on the rocks last night and sure enough, some weight is needed! You're right @stimpy it's for the sporty. I don't think I need much at all, probably sub 50g per side up front but it could make the difference from good to really good. I've been looking at psycho pat's stuff for a while so have run that through the grey matter for some time now! Oddly my google image skills were working yesterday evening and I found someone on thingiverse had uploaded all his STL files for his sporty, I can post a link if anyone wants it? Basically; I have STLs for the hangar, which is made for the VP knuckle:), and then two types of slug hangar which bolts onto the knuckle hangar. If my mate can print them up for me I could've saved a ton! well, not quite but any saving is welcome;) We'll see how that goes. One thing I did notice on steep climbs was a tendency for the front left (I think) wheel to start waving at me which I find infuriating! A smidge of torque twist I spose. I'll need to put on some softer springs up front as well as there were quite a few times I was waiting for a wheel to come back to earth! Gonna spam pictures in the sticky now:)
  21. Just put together a set of AR60s using Vanquish Stage 1 kit and now want to consider weighting the front knuckles some. I like the idea of the tungsten hangars but open to any suggestions as most of my seaching returns bluemonkey, who ceased trading years ago; Vanquish's own weights, which were discontinued a while ago and Dlux which would probably set me back a small fortune! I'm taking the rig out tonight hopefully to test on the rocks properly but as they've only got tubes in the axles, and some overdrive, i think i'm quite sure some weight is going to be required. Any thoughts or suggestions please guys? Thanks for looking
  22. +1 for the Rock Beasts @Badcrumble; they perform really well for us on rock and mud👍
  23. My other bottomless pit of spending money and time! My son loves the jumps; me, i'm much more suited to keeping both wheels on the ground!
