  4. Hi all, I am selling my Axial kit built Yeti plus the hop-ups separately. I originally bought the kit just under 2 years ago and built it with the hop-ups at the same time. The few times I have taken the car out it has been brilliant but due to lack of interest from my kids and lack of time for me it has just been sat on the shelf for about a year. I am taking the majority of the (easy to disassemble) hop-ups off the car and selling them separately and I’ve put all the original parts back on. Note: there are no electrics supplied with the car. As well as the standard upgrades over the RTR version, there are also the following upgrades on the car: SSD Driveshaft Vanquish 25T Servo Horn Vanquish Front skid plate Vanquish Incision Steel upper sus links Vanquish Bell Crank Vanquish Double Sheer Steering Rack Vanquish Steering Rack Axial shock mount plates Crawler Innovations Foam Front Bumper RW 32 DP Pinion 16 teeth 3.2mm shaft - still in the packaging RW 32 DP Pinion 18 teeth 3.2mm shaft Axial rear shock spring 14x90mm 1.71 lbs/in - White The following are extra changes to the standard instructions: Built with SS screws where possible so has all the remaining original kit supplied screws. Fast Eddy bearing so has all the original unused bearings 100,000 cst diff fluid in the front diff instead of the 20,000 cst fluid Associated shock oil (30wt rear + 40wt front) instead of the stock 10wt and 30wt. Plus, an extra body shell (Pro-line Baja bug which is damaged at the rear). - Sold separately Cost of car + spare body shell + unused bits = £210 + postage Note 1, I haven’t tried to fit everything in the kit box yet but I might need to be creative with the packaging. Ideally someone would collect. Note 2, the photo shows the battery, this is not included (since I found it will fit my Tamiyas!). The above body has been sold. The following photo shows the damage to the Baja shell: - this body has been sold separately The following shows the extra parts that I will be selling separately: Front steering Vanquish Steering knuckles - SOLD Vanquish Front Caster Blocks £10 + postage Cost for both = £23 + postage Rear Vanquish Clamping Lockouts - £10 + postage - SOLD Vanquish Shock link mounts - £5 + postage - SOLD Vanquish Sway Bar - £16 + postage - SOLD Axial Sway Bar clamp - £10 + postage Front Vanquish Front shock tower - SOLD Vanquish Shock Adjuster - SOLD Axial Body Post Mount - SOLD Cost for all three = £20 + postage Motor Mount – there are a few marks on the motor cam Vanquish Incision Motor Mount 1 - SOLD Vanquish Incision Motor Mount 2 - SOLD Cost for both = £13 + postage Other Axial 4 link mounts - £15 + postage - SOLD Axial Upper Link plate - still in the packaging - £9 + postage Axial Shock mount plates - still in the packaging - £9 + postage - SOLD Axial Machined Slipper Plate - still in the packaging - £6 + postage Pro-line foams - £10 + postage - Note these have been roughly trimmed Electrics Castle BEC - SOLD Holmes Hobbies Rx BEC Bypass - this is so the BEC can be used without messing with the servo wires - SOLD Cost for both = £14 + postage Feel free to message me with any questions or if you would like additional info/photos.
  5. Cheers for your reply @mond. I guess I can weigh it all and measure the box and check online for postage costs. It's pretty much all Vanquish and were fitted at the time of building so I have all the unused original parts. I guess one option is to rebuild the car with the original parts and then sell the hop ups separately.
  6. I've never sold an RC car but I wondered how you value it, especially if it is non-standard. Is there a formula you use like 40% of the total spend (or less) or is it pretty much pick a rough number? I have looked at eBay and that hasn't helped too much. How do you price postage, would you pack it all up and take it to the Post Office? Also, are there any rules against posting Lipos? I guess pick up only would be better but maybe will reduce the interest? The reason I'm asking is that I was thinking of selling my Yeti (which is why I'm posting in this thread) and I'm not sure how to go about it. It's had a small fortune spent on it and has only be used a few times (my kids are just not interested in us taking the cars out). I've got no idea what to put it up for and any pricing advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  7. Congratulations! I found the Mod 1 so much more stressful, the Mod 2 was just a nice ride out in the country. Best of luck with it.
  8. That looks very nice. Yeah I wasn't sure where to post my photos but remembered this thread. My specs are: Axial - 4 link mounts, body post mount, shock mount plates, sway bar clamp Castle 1410 - 3800Kv + Sidewinder ESC + 10A BEC Power HD LW20 servo SSD Scale rear driveshaft Vanquish - servo horn, bell crank, clamping lockouts, steering rack, caster blocks, shock tower, skid plate, shock link mounts, sway bar, SLW hubs, Method wheels, steering knuckles Incision - steel rear upper links, motor mount + motor cam RR Gen 3 56t slipper CI foam front bumper Pro-line single stage closed cell foams. I think I'm done with the build now and will just replace bits when they break or wear out.
  9. After almost a year, I finally got the original Yeti body painted (I was using a Pro-line Baja body before). I used it as an opportunity to try a few things out, glitter paint, flat clear, masking sheets and the net bag from some oranges. I'm in two minds about stickers, I might put the 'Yeti' ones along the side but that is about it.
  10. My son is 7 and we have just built a Mad Bull currently running a NiMh battery and he absolutely loves it. The only changes from stock that we made were bearings and a steel pinion, we also put a spare Tamiya Torque tuned motor in. Finally we did the heat shrink on the steering rod as shown above. We haven't updated the friction shocks yet but that is a definite plan for the future (although more for my happiness than my son's!). The only thing that I haven't seen on your list is paint, my son picked his choice of Tamiya TS paint and just went with box art black. Enjoy the build!
  11. A Tamiya Madbull (excellent service from Fusion Hobbies), delayed from Friday due to snow (we were delivery number 58 and the driver had to stop at 45). This is for my 7 year old son who has been saving for months, the deal was that he pays for the car and radio and I'll get the bearings, pinion, paint and a servo (plus supply the battery and ESC). He had free reign on paint colours but went with box art black but we might hold back slightly on the stickers. My challenge now is just to gently guide him and not interfere whilst he builds it and also to make sure we stop before his attention wanes :-)
  12. Took the Yeti and Tamiya GF-01 out for a blast in the woods for the first RC trip of the year with my son. Today I learnt that a wet and muddy Yeti isn't the funnest thing to carry and also a 4mm grub screw (from the steering knuckle) is almost impossible to find.
