Dug my nitro firestorm convert out today, decided i need some 17mm adapters ( or something similar? ) to run the older buggy wheels i have as the original firestorm wheels are showing there age finally, anyone got any recommendations that wont break the bank to make a firestorm have 17mm wheel hexes?

  8. I've got two of the setups listed above, One in a D8, other in a D812 I've run it on 4s for about 8 months without any problems, Recently brought the 6s Castle motor from ebay and i've also had nothing bad with that, But maybe i got lucky?
  9. I've got both the trophy ones and the D8 ones, I was using the trophy ones with the trophy mount. But as thats now got no threads i'd almost prefeer to go back to the D8 style diff housings same as my other D8 is running. But i cant find another abisma(i think?) motor mount for candy apparently
  10. Am after a HPI trophy motor mount for my converted D8, The threads have finally decided enough is enough on mine and just looked to find them out of stock everywhere
  11. Wonder if anyone has any good tips for the job? Has come to that dreaded time where my buggy needs some love and i was wondering if anyone had some tricks for cleaning out the old silicone from the diffs? Always takes me awhile and seems i like to make a mess during too..
  12. 1/10th is the go to size, But ive also drifted my 1/8th buggy with some cheeky pvc pipe over the tyres
  13. I was hoping to be able to use my stock of 48dp pinions, But after reading this and a few other threads i went ahead and got a RW racing steel one too, Arrived today and just fit it along with a new spur so all should be good now. But i appreciate you looking for me aswell!
  14. Got a new pinion and spur and some electrics in the TT01, Now to do a quick spray on a carpark shell!
  15. Picked up this little beauty, Needs some love but will make a great carpark drifter (once i sort the stripped spur and check the bearings) Is a TT-01 with the 3racing chassis conversion
  16. Am currently looking for a 48dp spur for a second hand TT01 i brought, Any ideas on whats a direct fit?
  17. After a 25t servo horn for my SCT but cannot find anywhere with stock in the uk so thought id post here before ordering from the states
  18. Anyone know what size the bearings are in the stock scream motor? Looking to replace mine but hpi literally never responded when i emailed them
  19. Gave the SCT some love with new wheel bearings on all 4 corners, Cleaned off my D8 to get it ready for some cheeky upgrades I think the truck might have earned a new shell though!
  20. I think i may have a motor mount here for a hyper 8, Give me a sec to get some pics and i'll PM you. I brought it as a kit for a replacement battery tray for my D8 and the motor mount has just been sat in the spares box for awhile
  21. Got the prototype Shock tower from @dazp1976 today and got it fitted, Cannot wait to get out and test it
  22. Got some cheap clamp Hexes for my RS4 shelf queen and some very nice 10mm offset wheels.. Sadly the hexes didnt clamp but cant say im surprised there.. But the wheels were great! Was good fun to get the cobwebs out of it atleast
  23. I love my RS4 Sport 3 flux (Brushless from box one) However a few things to consider that keep mine as mostly a shelf queen, Small rocks are literally the devil, the drivetrain is sealed but the steering rack is easily jammed by a small rock resulting in the steering locking one way, (Quick turn over and a shake of the steering fixes it 9 times outta ten, but having to do it often can be tedious) Also when i looked at using mine on anything but prepaired tarmac or a nice carpark ride height became an issue, (Can only just slide my smartphone under mine so probably 15mm of height max. Also the 9mm offset wheels can be a bit of a pain to get if your after a cheerful set Sadly i cannot comment on the TB02 but my older TL01 was great fun everywhere
  24. Let me know how the front shock tower goes, Ive got two D8's and both front shock towers are not in great shape and get abused alot!
