  1. Saw that while I was there. The oval was too small for the big bores, they were barely getting going before having to brake again.
  2. Get a losi Baja Rey or similar! I race 1/8th and 1/10th electric and the Baja Rey is for bashing. It can run at speed over terrain I'd never take a buggy over. Speedwise on 3s it's pretty similar to a 4s powered 8th scale buggy. Just my 2p obviously l, don't get me wrong, most 8th scale buggies will bash well but.its not their forte, something like the Baja Rey/traxxas slash etc are literally built from the ground up for high speed bashing. Whichever way you go you'll have fun though.
  3. I know you weren't keen on trailing arms/locked rear diff but I would seriously consider a Baja Rey. I absolutely adore mine and on 3s it's challenging a 4s powered 1/8th e-buggy on speed and power. That long travel suspension enables it to run over far rougher terrain too. I believe you can actually buy diff internals and have a working rear diff if you don't get on with the locked one.
  4. My new Hobbywing Xerun 7.5 turn motor/esc combo for my losi 22.
  5. A couple of rc cars for my kids so they don't keep nicking my tlr 22 in between races! LOL
  6. Yes! Found it on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0nSl1LWieU
  7. Anyone remember that video Tamiya made? Mudbusters I think it was called?
  8. replaced an exploded inner propshaft bearing on my losi baja rey. Turns out its the exact same bearing one of my helis uses so I have loads of them going spare! Also yesterday I race in 1/10th off road for the first time since 1995! It was fun, I sucked balls but it was mega fun and I can't wait to get there again!
  9. Ballistic buggies green mini spikes and MRT transponder so I can pretend just know what I'm doing on Sunday!
  10. This is aimed squarely at the Axial Yeti Score. It has a similar scale 4 link solid rear axle. Both the Baja Rey and the Yeti Score have masses more suspension travel than the usual short course truck and they handle large bumps much better. My Baja Rey can run at hight speed on stuff my traxxas slayer couldn't get going on! They're also very big, bigger than my xray 1/8th rallycross buggy, faster too on 3s lipo and the Baja Rey is massively strong as I prove every time I take it out! Lol
  11. Cool video, it looked really graceful sliding about in slo-mo!

  13. im using some 1/8th rallycross wheels on my slayer and they are a massive improvement over the stock scale wheels. They don't look as "right" but they definitely improve how it handles.
  14. Cleaning my Baja Rey, modifying the battery cage to fit these gigantic graphene batteries in. Sorting out my newly acquired TLR 22 ready for its first outing. Calibrating the esc, making up charge leads and glued on the front tyres Finally I bought a cheap box to put all the rc car bits in one place. Really looking forward to getting on an off road track for the first time since the mid-90's!
