  1. Rebuilt some old ally shocks off an acme cyclone and fitted them to the front of the Schumacher sst. Was initially having issues with sealing, but found the finger ends of nitrile rubber gloves a good liner for the top of the shocks to go between the shock mount and rubber bubble bit. Will try to do the rears tonight. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  2. I wonder if this gearbox could be an upgrade for the outlaw? 540 sized motor too Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  3. Fitted a 4t brushless to the schumacher, should be good for some speed runs, just need to see how its managing heat. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk

  5. Aye it sounds like the main spur axle/bearings havent located in the housing, Have you still got the washers/spacers in? I think someone very early on in the thread had an issue with spur assembley popping upslightly and then when they put the gear housing top back it caused damage. Exploded link if needed http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/diagrams/FTX/Outlaw%20Parts%20and%20Exploded.pdf Mines in bits as i'm fitting a smaller pinion tonight hopefuly so will take closer look but you maybe able to use the front drive/dogbone cup to pull the shaft up a little tighter to the bearing/spur locating pin, as iirc it'll be the movement to the rear which will cause the pin to come out. My only other thought is around your front and rear drives, does it seem as if anything is binding causing additional pressure or does the front and rear wheels rotate freely? Mark. 6. Sorted the pinion issue last night, set it to a 21t pinion with it only been a ~2100kv motor, but have a new issue now is that i dont think the motor is playing well with the esc as on the very initial set up its lovely and smooth but then soon starts to cog. Ive tried a few sensor cables and its doing the same, so it seems something is causing the esc (hobbywing sct pro 120a) to switch into sensorless mode. I'll try the other esc i've got (tsky 120a) so see if its just the HW not liking the motor, as when i used the motor in the schumacher sst with the tsky it was fine, but then i'm putting more force/pressure on this old speed passion sealed 17.5t motor in the outlaw. 7. Jealous [emoji1] just trying to sort this motor setup on the outlaw, so i can get up there Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  8. School boy error, put it all back together and then found i'd not tightened the pinion ... [emoji24] Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  9. Fitted some shiney bits tonight, a front anti-roll bar and a almost sealed 17.5t sensored motor, just need to figure out what pinion now. [emoji4] Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  10. Leeds area myself Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  11. I'd be interested to see if there are any Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  12. Cool, what are you running? I'll say hello if i see you about, i sometimes try to pop up there after work on the way home. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  13. Aye i use the that rough car park near the oval running track, so either use the track if no ones on it, or the carpark or at the back of that rough carpark there is a bmx track as soon as you enter the woods, good for jumps but has trees [emoji1] Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  14. Had a go on the bosses old Hotshot today, good fun [emoji4] gotta love Tamiya's robustness Could do with sone 2.4ghz loving if i had to say anything, especially if the daughters shin is anything to go by [emoji15] Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  15. Looks awesome, that track made me think it would be good for a cops and robbers / tag event for abit of fun. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  16. Flashed the firmware and installed the cheap tsky esc into the Schumacher sst rally, Seems almost seems silky smooth on brushless compared to the old reedy brushed that was in it. Plus seems quieter. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  17. I must say, its fun when its moving at the moment, and goes like a scolded cat when pressed, but its the getting moving that irks me and the slow speed control. Are you running the 17 or 23 with that 3200kv, John? Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  18. Just want to feel out some thoughts, ive got a goolrc 3660 3800kv (sensorless) in the outlaw at the moment and it gets warm on a 23 or 22 pinion that its got in at the moment and cogs plenty. But ive just picked up a 540sized 17.5t sensored, would it be daft to try that in? I know it'll be lower rpm as most seem to be rated about 2100kv iirc, but then oem is only a 2950? But maybe enough torque to allow maybe a slight gear up (ignore the oem motor mounts as im still testing the metal multi mount i had made) But it would be sensored so probably much smother drive. 19. Ive a few cogs for the lathe i'll have a look tonight. Got any mates with a 3d printer? Probably an hour or two modelling and same again for printing. Also worth checking thingiverse and places like that incase others are already sharing a model. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  20. Made some 3.5mm female to 4mm male motor to esc cables for the old SP 17.5t brushless motor ive got. Fitted said motor to my Schumacher sst rally with a 24t>83t setup for the initial gearing test. So just awaiting an esc and tweak to the steering, and it should be ready for its new life as brushless. Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  21. Have you tried attaching the new wheels to the car, running her up while dremeling the tread off lathe style, not saying its safe but it'll get the tread off fast Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  22. Ordered one of them stupidly cheap 120a esc, should be here in a few days Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
  23. What did you end up running on this? Sent from my HTC One M8s using Tapatalk
