More of the issue of potentially crashing the car, have to do a fair stretch on the motor way and a few roundabouts and such. Plus the whole getting tugged thing... 

I got my ghetto modding hat on and managed to nut and bolt the mount to the car and cable tie/gorilla tape the mirror back onto the mount. Got a new one ordered for £16. Just need to swap my blue coloured cover onto the new mint green one and we'll be okay. 

Probably made it sound a lot worse than it actually was but I thought at the time it was buggered haha

Only major problem I have is it's range. In a 1950/60s house so it's all thick solid walls. If your downstairs I just switch to 4G it's much faster. 

Wired with gigabit lan connection to my PC. Standard Vrigin 3.0 Hub which is just awful to put it nicely

I might only be actually needing say 10Mbps for the tasks I do. If I am paying for 200Mbps and only getting 20 that's where the problem comes from. Comes to the old thing that's been with ISP for ages is you never get what you pay for. Unless you pay too much for too little... 

We were paying for 50, then when we moved I asked to see how much it would be to go for the 200 and it was £10 a month cheaper and no installation fee

I have the same sealy one. Still going strong after a year. Never even had to change the tip. Just sand it back every now and then and always keep it tinned so it can't oxidise the copper 

All to do with peak times, depending on your area and who's on the internet in your town then that will dictate your peak time. I normally get about 150/130ish during these sorts of hours weekdays, weekends I fail to get below 220Mbps. Then Sunday night comes and it's pants get like 70. 

You'll never ever see full speed all the time no matter who you're with or what package your on. 

I don't see it as acceptable, but that's the way it is until these companies can come out and update the infrastructure they're using. It's outdated and massively undersized for the demand

I think this is a bit more serious than a gang shooting. This is national security level of activity. So I can see why the media would report these events and not the others. Not that I'm saying it's right. It's quite disgusting infact.

Nope, they were only for a cheapo set anyway. I did have the ends exposed probably a good 20mm or so. I tried to solder up a new longer wire before on one but that didn't really do much either 

Ahh right, my bad. I thought it did have to be. When ever I've cut them down before the range went to like 20 metres tops haha. I'll just pull some back into the Rx box and cut the tube down like you say 

My antenna tube sticks out about a good 7in from the car so I was wondering if I could cut it down to hide it away basically

Place is called BMC BodyShop, went down to visit for the 1st time today and basically just walked in and he went "Well just pop down Monday and do a weeks work, if you like it and want to carry on then great. If not then oh well"
