      Horrible news

  2. Sold items updated, motor and esc now for sale.
  3. No idea in hell what brand this engine is. All I know is it's a .25, was installed in 2013 and its got a bucket load of compression. Came straight out of a Hong Nor X1 Pro which was raced and put to the side. I would guess by the fact it has no markings on any of it at all that it's just chinese crap. Although any help appreciated. Matt

    Grease !!!

Unless like a car you have boots on your CVs/Dogbones then I would steer well away from any sort of lubricant on your shaft. Things like this work best with nothing on them, if you think about it the end nearest to the diff doesn't actully move all that much. So any lubes on there would probably have such little benifit. If it wasn't meant to be like it from the factory, I wouldn't do it. That's just the way I see it.
  5. Rear tower is prov sold to Ross. Front is still available PM me for info. Motor mount isn't Sorry, even if it was it's all chewed up and bent just a temp thing until MFP gets some more... CVDs are all available now. Fronts are new, centres are in really good nick and rears are not perfect but still got loads of life left in then. PM me for info
  6. Well I'm planning on the combo in my HN. Although PM me if you're really interested Cheers
  7. I'm splitting my old Hyper ST. Most parts available
  8. Hey all, recently aquired a HN X1 Pro again so this is now up for breaking. Condition wise it's almost new. Has just been stripped down and rebuilt from top to bottom and had less than 30 minutes use in my owner ship. Everything is avalible apart from: - Servo - All Electric specific conversion stuff (Leccy servo mount can be bought) - Shocks - Side guards and A arm mud flap things. - Centre Diff Assembly Everything else is avaliable. =ITEMS THAT HAVE SOLD= - Rear Shock Tower - Front Knuckles + CHub + Rear Uprights - Wing Mount inc Wing - All CVDs Motor and ESC is now for sale. Not sure on prices, but to keep to the rules a I will sell it as a roller (No centre diff) for £160 inc P&P but fees are up to you. Also have some things like spare A arms, centre chassis plate, and some on road wheels. Oh and all tires have been belted and re glued. No returns and/or refunds accepted. Thanks for looking.
  9. Right, finally it moves! Thanks to a couple of members on here I have been able to get some magic pixies flowing through the system. Decided to swap out the PowerHD servo for something a lot better, Hitec HS-7954SH 29KG fitted up and works a treat. Also got a Gens Ace 5Ah, 40/80c LiPo battery floating around in the battery tray. Got some velcro on order to secure it alot better as it has about 30mm of clearence end to end. I've always had 1/8th scale stuff in my RC history, so i'm thinking about a possible upscale soon. This might be on the way out if for anyone wanting an early in. Matt
  10. Yep deffo 0 chance of fixing it if the windings have burnt out. Either see if you can get a replacement motor unit or bite the bullet and get a new one I would say.
  11. Ahh right, then that's probably not gonna work too well. I thought they were lay down servos. Hmm not sure then mate. I would probably try and shunt the battery tray as far back as possible and go from there
  12. Could always see if it will mount ontop of the servo mount?
  13. But the higher KV motor will have to work harder to drive the same gearing as a lower KV more powerful motor? Surely you would want to drop at least 1-2 teeth? Correct me if i'm missing something here
  14. No worries mate, I think it's always better to be on the tighter side of things rather than the lose (Must be a joke in there somewhere) Good luck!
  15. The higher KV motor will draw more amp for sure (assuming they're the same size can) You'll need to probably check the motor specs. Although considering the SC8 is only 4S capable anyway you would probably be fine If you can afford it I would upgrade to the 150a ESC anyway personally just for the extra headroom EDIT: Just had a look at the black can you were on about and they rate them at 122a max. Like I say you would be better to go for the 150a, but the 120a would probably be fine
  16. I went one better for you, god it's cold in that garage! Haha.
  17. That looks very lose to me, I would push it closer together. I'll grab a pic of a proper mesh in a second. When you do the paper trick what paper do you use? I normally use a receipt or something if it's a new car. But i've gotten to used to the Mod 1 pitch that I can do it just by sound and feel, should be lose enough that you can hold one gear still and be able to move the other very slightly.
  18. I would personally probably go for something like a Hyper ST PRO. Really really durable and parts are easy and cheap to get a hold of. If you go brand new then it's around £320ish the last time I saw it. Although you do have to source your own, servos, radio gear and engine. Oh and you'll also have to build quite alot of it your self from the ground up as it's a kit. But out of the 2 you linked I would defo go for the Losi 8ight! Lovely truggy. I would have one if it wasn't for my Hyper ST
  19. Is there any chance of you being able to fully charge it and drain it then balance charge it? Doesn't look too terrible I don't think but I'm not too much more clued up than you so not gonna say anything for sure
  20. Only ones I can find that suit are Turnigy LiHV ones. They're £80 for 2 so just seeing if anyone has anything better. Hobbyking seems crap at the moment with things I want :/
  21. Never mind young ones, I want one Good find!
  22. PM Me buddy and we'll go from there Sounds promising
