I think most run ZTW with 12S and the rest Flier and MGM with more cells, MGM would the end game if you have cash to spare...

I stuck to 8s when I did a conversion on my 30DNT. Total spend was about £700. I used MGM mounts and Gens ACE batteries. For the motor and ESC, they were Tenshock and Trackstar respectively. great set up and the ESC has outlasted my Losi DBXL-E one!

I have wondered the same thing myself i had a bit of a break from RC for a while then came back to it & the forum & released it wasn't as busy on here as it was before, like Alex said i think Facebook has taken some people although in my opinion its not as good as you can't go back & look at the content as easily 

go look at fredrics build thread, he has scratch built a ford escort MKII .
aint no bypassing here, he made the whole lot, the whole chassis frame etc etc.
down to the steerings and likes.

THATS SCRATCH BUILDING, and infact i would not want to say fredric did not put in any research, he did the lot pictures and pictres worth, to get everything he wanted. and if he had the means i bet fredric would have loved a cad models so he could have cut pannels and likes more easy, save on waste and likes and know they would all fit together because the cad models are also extruded to the require thickness of his materials.

Already seen it, my point is, he didn't mine for the metal and stuff.

No matter who it is, you always have to buy certain aspects of things.

tamiyacowboy i don't mean that type of scratch build

1.9's fit the mog for crawling.
1.55's fit the mog if you run a pajero body ( these are rc4wd tyres so us import fee stands)

Depending on tamiya its either 1.9 - 1.7 or the 1.55 

just any 1.9 trail tyres?

Can't see it ever being what it was before this silly update myself.

This happens every update, the forum has been growing each year. So I wouldn't worry.

It will never be as busy as what it used to be a few year back spent many hours in there haha
