  1. Got a pretty nice rubber pit mat today, about the only large, nice looking one with recesses in it for screws that I could find under £20, impressed
  2. Yeah a few of my dads mates have a lot of their stuff and ride in all weathers and distances in it and rate nearly all of it. And deffo, and the rest I'd have thought!
  3. Heine gericke (or however it's spelt) aswell! last time I went in one of their shops everything was ludicrously expensive!!
  4. Cheers mate, appreciate it And yeah it's 6ft x 4ft, I wouldn't even be able to lie down in it made another bracket today to put another car up on the wall, and hopefully some more small shelves to keep as much floor space as possible All in all its cost me £100 to get this far which I don't think is too bad
  5. Some more arrow max hex drivers to keep in the shed, some oils and offensively bright paint for something big that's yet to come
  6. Man cave almost complete, just need a radio, to fill it with stuff, and also modify the chair as my bench is too high
  7. Put your hose away and spill the beanz!
  8. An awfully fancy chair for the RC shed [emoji851]
  9. Finished the bench in the RC shed, the top I bought was too small, but the very same day we had a new cooker delivered that was packed with planks of wood around the polystyrene, cut and shaped them to size, sanded and stained them and voila, free bench extension on each side  Also have electricity now!!
  10. Did it include a severed piece of one of said parts, or is that still to come??
  11. Nothing to the model but been going about turning our old chicken shed that's hidden away at the bottom of the garden into a dedicated RC 'work shop' or something the like. So far the inside has been painted (almost done) made and painted a shelf, made a rack for screwdrivers and stained it, and a support for a work bench with a table top from ikea to go on. Oh and an ikea special ceiling light, also found a rug that fits the entire shed perfectly which will go in last.

  13. Any battery back that will fit in there with a high mah will last all day. Rechargeable AA's are naff and last next to no time generally
  14. Some rare and very nicely machined cnc braces for a Thunder Tiger SSK. Tempted to make this truck into a shelter but it's just too much fun to use
  15. True unfortunately, I remember in about 2009 or so I reported a problem with the item I bought off someone and eBay refunded me straight away, no hassle. Just the other week I returned something, unfortunately my dad was the one who posted it off and didn't use tracking. Seller claimed it didn't arrive, started a case with eBay and had to jump through a load of hoops, had the receipt as proof that I sent it. Rang eBay a bunch of times, got a notification that a decision has been made on the case and it's in my favour, but told me to send it tracked, but how am I meant to do that when I've already sent the thing back?? Anyway after ringing again, they gave me an email address to send a picture of the receipt to, did that and heard no more, got a notification a few days later saying the case has been closed. Lost £50.
  16. After having my X-ray XB8 for a month I finally managed to take it to the track. Had a few irritating problems with steering and tuning but the guys there helped me out a lot, well I say helped, they did it all for me without me even asking had a good blast with it and put a few decent laps in, just got to work on my lines now I'll be pooing all over that ty tessman bloke in no time...
  17. Sounds like you've got yourself a bit of a gem, I think it's Nitroholic on here who had one of those and rated it As far as tuning goes don't take it to a hobby shop for them to do it, there's an abundance of information on this forum as well as videos on YouTube and other guides around the web for you to educate yourself on it aswell as setting up the rest of the truck. You'll need to tune it again if you use a different fuel and will have to tweak the tune for different weather conditions so it pays to do it yourself
  18. I had a pretty dim view on FTX after hearing what people say about them on here.. But after getting a second hand Hooligan nitro in a joblot they really are a pretty decent car/ brand for the money. Some parts are quite naff and weak but the spares are cheap as chips anyway
  19. I'll have to give this a read, I have a lipo in my starter box and I'm scared of it after reading all the horror stories of the things
  20. Just read through this thread and must say you lot have the patience of saints Props to the man though for getting that thing working, as has been said though just save for a hobby grade car if you're interested in getting into RC. It is an expensive hobby and you'll need deep pockets for it, obviously we don't know your financial situation but if youre like how I was a few years ago before I was at work then I feel your pain when it comes to getting into RC. a minimum of £200 I'd say would get you a quality car which will hold its value if you choose not to continue with the hobby. If you want to know what kind of thing is hobby grade just look on websites such as Modelsport UK. I had my heart set on a HPI Firestorm for my first car when I was 16, 4 years later I went and spent nearly 400 on my first car and haven't looked back. It's a great hobby and you'll meet a lot of great people along the way, that is if you're willing to spend
  21. There's one on eBay at the moment mate for £50 or best offer, saw it and thought of this topic and that you might want it for spares
