Nice one. Even though they are the smaller type of speed champs, I found the Mclaren & Chevrolet were real nice builds.
  4. No way. Looks factory
  5. Due 23rd September. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/tamiya-audi-v8-touring-1991-tt-02/rc-car-products/1330951 Hopefully the body will be available separately.
  6. A bit more info. Tamiya 58682 Audi V8 Touring 1991 TT-02 Tamiya is delighted to announce the appearance of another classic racing car on our popular TT-02 chassis, this time the Audi V8 touring car with a 456hp 3.6-liter V8 which graced the DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) in 1991. That season, it took four victories overall and carried Frank Biela to the drivers’ title. About the Model • This is a 1/10 R/C model assembly kit. • The powerful, imposing body is moulded accurately in lightweight and durable polycarbonate. • Stickers are included to recreate the markings for the no.45 car driven by 1991 champion Frank Biela. Masking stickers will aid in the paint job. • Two-piece mesh wheels (Item 50548 design) have silver colour rims and gold colour spokes. They are paired with racing slick tires. • The TT-02 chassis is an adaptable and balanced design with excellent stability, plus features such as identical suspension arm and upright components for ease of assembly. • 4-bevel differential gears and 4-wheel double wishbone suspension make for a smooth ride. • A plethora of Hop-Up Option parts is available to tune the TT-02 chassis to your needs. • ESC & Torque Tuned Motor included.

Good find. I was just looking at the lights for the Audi, they look pretty good. https://www.amazon.co.uk/PEXL-Lighting-Champions-Compatible-Quattro/dp/B086W8VV9B/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=lego+speed+champion+lights&qid=1591966641&sr=8-5

Got to be worth a try. I'm looking at some of my speed champs and it looks tight in there. The larger models no doubt will fit easier. I'm all done on the ZR1 now, no more fun For £24 it's pretty good value. Pistons move up and down and there's a little gear at the back which you twist to make the steering work.

Only seen them on eBay. Some of them sell quite a lot. No idea you could get one for the speed champs.
  10. Your TT-02 in it's current form with a 257mm wheel base, your spoilt for choice. Majority of 1/10 shells are 257mm WB and 190mm wide. Iff you go 200mm width then your looking at buying wheels with a lot of offset to fill the arches. The TT-02 also allows for a 251mm wheel base by flipping the rear upper and lower arms. I haven't explored shells with 251mm WB bodys but the RCON RS200 shell fits with a 251mm WB, even though it's listed as a 257mm shell, I found it fits better with a 251mm chassis. RCON RS200 SHELL Here's an RS200 shell sat on a 251mm TT-02 chassis. To keep things simple, stick to 257mm WB, 190mm wide body's with 26mm wide wheels There's plenty out there
  11. That'll be fine. or anything around £10 will be more than enough for general running.

Now the speed champs are out the way, time to start this.
  19. Yep I think so. It'll look nice next to an Audi Quattro A2 Rally
  20. Something that works for me but might not be advisable for others , is increase your voluntary access. This brings my premium down. I've got a 2002 Zetec-S which I've owned for 17 yrs, it's got to the point where for the time now it's in my ownership I just want a cheap premium. I value the car at £500 and set my access at £500 knowing that iff I wrap it round a lamp post I won't claim on something that owes me nothing.
