Im struggling with soldering an xt60 to my ESC. I cut off the old T connector as I couldent melt the old solder with my iron ? Then I struggled to tin the newly exposed wire. I did tin easily the new xt60 connections. Is my iron not enough power. Its an antex 25W. Also the ESC wire(hobbywing sc8), is it coated with something...should I have scraped it to clean it. One last question...i have it soldered up now but am not confident in the joint. Is there any way to test the joint. Truck ran ok in garden, no room to open it up fully though. Thanks

Im also looking at getting a better charger, or making my own... I found this guide online for one of those HP server PSU's. Would this work. Well if thats the case both my Floureons were crap. I wont purchsse Floureon again, however other people have had good experiences with them. Luck of the draw I guess.

HRB,s arrived from amazon, cells look reasonably balanced. I hope they last longer than the Floureons. Although to be fair the Floureons were just left over winter in storage and ignored for 6 months or so. Just amazon prime ordered a pair of HRB 6000mAh 50C 3S XT60. £44 each.

Where do people purchase their Lipo. Hobbyking seem to be low on LIpo at the moment, Turnigy and Zippy. Theres Floureons on ebay but Im not sure on the quality ? I also see a lot of these HRB lipo on ebay but Ive no idea of the quality of those either. Any tips....thanks

Still pondering about a pair of 3s for this mte. Is the 29mm battery tray a standered size? Can i fit a bigger tray or mod the stock one. Its just theres more choice/bigger bats available if i can fit wider lipo.. Thanks

Went to charge a pair of pair of Floureon 11.1v 35c 5500mAh to take the MT out for a run. First charge for maybe 1 year. Diddnt look too good to start with before charging. Still bad after balance charge. Thought I would run down and balance up again. Any advice, I guess battey 1 is finished right, as cell 3 dropped to 2.39V. I know I could try to charge up cell 3 as a 1s via the balance lead but is it worth it? Battery 2 worth balance charging again ? Just thinking of getting a drone to mess about with. Want something simple to get me going. After a bit of research I think something like a DJI Spark would suit me. Would like cam and FPV via phone or tablet. My first drone so any advice also welcome.

tis ok i figured it out. the retaining "grub screw" is inside the hole at the end of the hub. Loosened this hidden hex and the pin is easy to remove.

nothing obvious, just a pin ?
