  1. Love it. Would look smart on my bench. Sent from my SM-T725 using Tapatalk
  2. My son has a Midnight Pumpkin running a 15t motor. No problems mechanically, he's broken the body a few times which is easily repaired using poly cement. The body posts and the little springs on the suspension (not the shocks) are the only weak points we've found. There is a number of easy mods for the springs and Hot Racing have started making aluminium body posts again. I will say that my son drives hard so you may not have any problem with the body posts, but the springs will break at some point. Other than that fit bearings and they're pretty tough. 3. I have seen aluminium portals that fit the standard axles, I'm sure they would still be available somewhere. Edit Found them on Atees. Made by 3racing. Out of stock though unfortunately. Sent from my SM-T725 using Tapatalk
  4. Great find. Those axles are so hard to find now, does it have the portals as well? Sent from my SM-T725 using Tapatalk
  5. Love the CR-01. Tamiya do like to do things differently. Keep hoping for a CR-02 that can compete with newer designs from other manufacturers, maybe one day who knows; we do now have a CC-02. That really is a great price though. Sent from my SM-T725 using Tapatalk
  6. Tamiya do brushless esc and motors if you you want to stay with a full Tamiya build, pricey though, and apparently underpowered compared to the equivalent competition. Sent from my SM-T725 using Tapatalk
  7. Greens models in Somerset are the UK dealer. Good company to deal with.
  8. Looks like this will be the base for my Capri Turbo build
  9. More MAN than Tatra in my view, so German rather than Russian. I agree on price though, £30-£40 too expensive.
  10. Are there any chassis other than the TT01/TT02 than can be run with the 251mm wheelbase?
  11. Got my Grasshopper from the old model shop by the bridge about 35 years ago. Spent many hours in there as a kid and in Exeter Model Centre dreaming of owning some of the top Tamiya and Kyosho kits.
  12. My son's Metallic Midnight Pumpkin will be arriving between 1748 and 1848; very specific. Sent from my SM-T819 using Tapatalk
  13. Great info, thank you. Sent from my SM-T819 using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for the help. That confirms my thoughts so I will go with the TT02R chassis as planned. Sent from my SM-T819 using Tapatalk
