  1. Shoes, Big boots, Strange clothes, Odd dog shaped objects and just random items... that's all she likes and everything I buy is just a waste of money! I'm fighting a losing battle but despite the moaning, I think I'm winning It's not going to end well, is it?....
  2. Indeed. I bought a PS4 camera jobby. Used it once and it's been in the cupboard ever since. I've more batteries, mods and tanks for vaping than there is days in the month.. yet I only need one. I'm not sure if it's being a hoarder or just a compulsive buyer. I do like buying stuff though.. just not clothes.
  3. Try telling that to the wife.. She's thinks it's a problem that the kids have holey shoes and half mast trousers but I have shiny new cars. Women.
  4. Finding myself constantly on the lookout for new cars, batteries, hop ups etc and I don't need any of them. I've barely had enough time or decent weather to use the Firestorm I bought a couple of weeks ago and the Maverick has had about three runs in total due to it being boring. It is a little more lively with the brushless setup that I bought, mind but then I'm selling it... so why did I bother buying the motor/esc Now I'm looking at buggy/truggy kits or ready built rollers on ebay and here. Something like the DEX210 or the DEST210R I was deciding between the firestorm with. Although I'll never have the time, I'm looking at places to race... It's not just me, is it?
  5. Have you got a price? Is there a shell included too? No problems sending a Lipo with my hermes. Just storage charge and package well.
  6. Near LS16 there's the playing fields off farrar lane/Otley old road. Clayton woods/quarry. Yeadon BMX track although expect to be moved on if running nitro or there's jobsworths about. Hall park in Horsforth although same above applies. Looking for more around here if anyone has any recommendations? Also looking for a track in Leeds or surrounding areas. Prefer indoor but outdoor would be fine.
  7. I'd not long been through the same myself and the Firestorm ended up being the one that I bought. It ticked all the boxes and it was the one that most people kept recommending. I've not used it much due to time restraints but it's good enough for what it is.
  8. Yeah, it didn't charge it at all. The have also taken if off of their recommended extras on the website too and replaced it with the PowerTech one so I'm sure they're aware of the issues. I've been there far too often since boxing day. It's not healthy. At least not for my bank balance anyway..
  9. I took one back myself and have seen two others take one back. Someone said to me whilst I was there that they ad exchanged two.. I spent a bit more and got http://www.modelsport.co.uk/overlander-rc6-vsp-80watt-7a-output-ac-dc-charger/rc-car-products/379060 instead. Nice charger and I needed one that did LiPo batteries too.
  10. It may not have charged. What charger are you using and do you have another? It's not this one is it? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/fusion-vector-nx85-delta-peak-ac-dc-charger/rc-car-products/37637 They've had a lot of them returned.
  11. Yours is the same as the one you linked. Fine for 2S Lipo. I'd imagine there's something in the manual about setting the low voltage cut out, if you were to go down that route.
  12. How old is your strada? If it has the MSC-30BR-WP ESC, then it is LiPo compatible. You will just need a LiPo charger to go with it. There's a big difference in performance. Stick with 2S though with a 15T motor. Is it this ESC? http://www.hpiracing.co.uk/piw.php?partNo=MV30001 If so and you do go LiPo, don't forget to move the jumper on the ESC. If sticking with nimh, just go with the one with the biggest capacity (Mah) that will physically fit. The differences in price between batteries doesn't just fall down to which is the better one. There's production costs, distribution costs, packaging etc etc... so more expensive, doesn't always mean better.
  13. Charge on the kitchen worktop, along with 3 or 4 18650 batteries for my ecig. Store them under the bed. I work away mostly, so it'll only be the Mrs that goes up in flames. A risk worth taking, for the convenience.
  14. Wonder if that shell would fit the firestorm.. hmm.
  15. Took the firestorm to work today. Day one on site, so a huge empty unit to play in whilst waiting for scissor lifts to be delivered... Jealous faces all round.

I'll give it a go next weekend if none have turned up as I'm working away again as of tomorrow. I should be able to acquire some materials perfected for the job.

They're not having supper either. We had Yorkshires for tea.. what more do they want?

Hopefully there's some cree LEDs going spare too.. if I forget to fit them. They would like their cars lit up, so I'm going to make them look like the rear end of the millennium falcon..

  19. The maverick has 32mm of ground clearance. Just checked the manual from the XB that lists them all. Surprisingly, the XT has more ground clearance with 35mm and smaller diameter wheels.

    Vaping

A year today for me. Started on the mini protank 2 kit from myepack. Built some micro coils that is still in use now. One coil for a year! The wife uses that one. I moved onto a bigger ego battery, then the MVP2 and a Vamo. Found mechanicals and bought a Nemesis clone, then a genuine Stingray. Bought one of them aspire cf mods put of boredom. Quite a good bit of kit but just too long. Ordering a Sigeli 100w next week. Tanks wise I've had most generic ones but the mainstays are the Kayfun 3.1 and Langer Subtank. Generally vape at 1ohm or less. Made my own juices for 11 out of the 12 months. Capella were the flavours of choice but since moved onto flavourart.. the custard pi is beautiful! I've spent some good money on gaping but, I still have something to show for it and good health.
  21. CoopTay - Fifa, Cod AW, Destiny. Don't get on it much as I work away and the wife moans about it..
  22. Wish I'd have seen this last week... would have saved 150 quid! Interested in the T bone rear and bar, if you'd consider selling.
  23. Don't suppose anyone has a Pro-Line short chassis Baja Bug body lying around do they? http://prolineracing.com/bodies/volkswagen-maxx-short-chassis-revo-2-5-savage-tnx-flux-body/ No? Oh, Ok
