  1. I will check the servo horn tonight then. Just unscrew lift off and look underneath it I guess. Is there an alternative/hop-up metal one for it so I don't have the same problem again?
  2. Hi all, Prob taken mt out 4 times now and for no more than 10 mins each time. Last time was Saturday and was cut short by the lack of response from the trigger (acceleration) I took the shell off and thought at first I was missing some sort of collette on the throttle link arm, but I'm not or atleast don't think so. When I pull the trigger it moves fine, but now only once every 10 or so pulls??? I'm confused. Does anyone have a picture of what the set up looks like from servo to link arm inc. spring / locking adj collette etc please so I can double check everything is where it is supposed to be. Is this maybe a servo problem? I have both trims set at 7/10 as I was cautious about the servo breaking, but have the latest version and are metal geared. I know the steering servos are 20kg and I think the throttle one is 9kg?. I've changed both Tx and Hump pack batteries and still same. The steering works perfectly. The breaks have not worked since I've owned it (6 weeks) not very well anyway, but was going to attempt setting them up correctly once fully run in. Am I doing something wrong? Has something come loose? Not got set up right? All ideas welcomed. Many Thanks, Andy
  3. Gutted. No body parts in 3rd pic...
  4. Well, I got in to RC about 6-7 years ago? When the savage25 came out. Went mad on it with hop ups etc for a couple of years then left it alone until I bought my youngest lad a ftx carnage brushed for xmas to see if he would get in to it (just wanted him out of the house instead of being on bloody consoles / pads / phone indoors all the time) and since purchasing the ftx mid December I bought a second hand Losi desert truggy for my daughter so she could come out with us and because my savvy hadn't been serviced since a few years back I also bought myself a Mav Blkout MT and am mad for it again lol HELP!
  5. Good answer. I have v3 and have not had any of the previous release model issues. Blackout MT for the win!
  6. Looking forward to some feedback on this as fits the mav blkt mt.
  7. quarry sites sounds like a plan!
  8. Hi all, I have a losi as above and one of the front wheels has a lot of play in it. Worn I guess as I've tightened the nut. Is there a wheel / tyre combo other than the losi wheel that fits? Just unable to locate any on fleabay. Cheers,
  9. After reading this thread I ventured in to the garage where my Savvy25 has been sat for nearly 4 years (on its feet). Inspected the tyres, all seemed ok, no flat spots, got her started and ran her for a tank and can honestly say there was no vibration or abnormal driving etc. Prob wouldn't worry too much about flat spotting rc tyres to be honest going by my findings. My truck has D compound hpi ground assault race tyres on her which are soft, but am unsure what foams come with the tyres as standard, could be relatively firm I guess hence no flat spots ???
  10. I've got the maverick blackout mt and looks well made. I'm yet to run it as been busy over the festive period and am hoping to get her out this weekend. I'll post up some pics / vid if I can although it won't be terribly exciting as she takes a tank to run in. Unable to comment on the losi, but they are renouned for making excellent trucks so would defo be a concideration also. Goodluck with your choice of truck, let us know which you steer towards.
  11. I quite like it. My 11yr old son got the brushed mt for xmas and bar the broken front shell support tower it has been faultless. 3 sessions out and all good, ramps, tarmac gravel and huge puddles it has been a dream truck. I will defo be considering this in it's brushed version for him going forwards. I did think the brushed as a first would take him a little while to master being his first rc, but he seems to of mastered it already. In hindsight, maybe should of got him the brushless version, but hey ho. I haven't heard or read many bad things about ftx stuff, maybe I've been lucky I dunno.
  12. I'm thinking maybe making essentials waterproof and then after bash drive through small ford area; shake buggy of excess water and done
  13. I do! I have my batteries wrapped in a micro fibre lol
  14. Is it just me or does anyone else think that exhaust looks a tad too close to the tank?
  15. My new Mav Blkt MT is currently sat on top of a celebrations plastic tub (tis the season). Perfect for the 1/5 as wheels are off ground by a good half inch
  16. Hi all, Anyone any experience with these before I get excited about nothing again haha Cheers, Andy
  17. Oh dear. All points taken. (deleting bookmark) Was reading a thread on Redcat Rampage Forum also to do with the 2 speed tranny and a guy ordered what he thought was a DemonRC tranny from said website and arrived with dodgy bearings. Enough said. Before I start getting excited again I'll pop a question up as a seperate thread. Thanks all for valid answers.
  18. To be fair I've been reading the postage terms etc and (parts) anything under 2kg I think your on to a winner! A 30kg 1/5 petrol truck although may look tempting at $339 (
  19. Gents / Ladies, Just been surfing net and came across www.rchobby.com.cn and am a tad excited about the prices and they also offer 4-6 days air transit time to UK for $19...
  20. Thanks Hyper-d. I was on an overseas site yest and spotted the upgrade under Redcat Rampage parts and wondered. Here is the link if it is of any use to anyone...site is 'AliExpress' http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-5-Model-RC-1-5-RCHobby-1-5-1-5-Car-1-5-Racing-Car/1670528078.html Not sure if the price of $159 is reasonable or not with a shipping charge of $16.57...so,
