I've probably jinxed it now.

Believe me i'm surprised how tough it is. I got mine just days after release and have only replaced the wing mount and the servo. It's been run on 4s probably 80% of the time so maybe that helps. I read negative stuff about them and its like they're talking about a different car. I probably just got lucky, it's certainly not down to gentle running and it's a car i'll never sell.

OMG. As an Arrma Typhon owner this has me excited, that typhon is as tough as they come in my experience. The crashes that thing has just brushed off is highly impressive. If this thing gets some decent honest reviews i'm buying the diff locking version.

The DBXL is fine in that regards, the X2 not so much all though it does gets rolled out the way so i can get to other stuff every other day. Not ideal though.

Thanks i've just found a packet of spark plugs I forgot I had too so will stick a fresh one in.

Neither have been run for over 8 months, they have been sat without fuel in them. My questions are should I do anything in particular to the engines before starting them up ?, visual inspection ? Strip down and clean or just give them a go ? I'm more concerned about the DBXL as that's the one i'm keeping. Found some decent ground that looks ripe for 1/5 and now i've got my other rc's sorted I want the DBXL ready.

7 tanks yes definitely but from what I understand gradually increasing throttle is the best way to go. -

I let mine idle for a tank, quarter to half throttle on and off for one tank then final tank a bit more higher throttle eventually running full throttle in spurts. If that makes sense. You can tune it after that but I found it a pain. -

Nearly completed the Losi 8 4.0 I got on friday, just the engine and shell to sort. Bloody nightmare the manual that came with it.

Had it out again today, no massive jumps but had some decent roll overs and crashed into a poor little dex 210. Very happy so far.

It must be fairly close I guess, then you've got that worry in the back of your mind. Not really keeping up to speed with this anymore but not read anywhere about a wire popping yet.
