The 990 is a good carb also, all my cars have 990's fitted but there is a knack to starting the engine without the choke,
The 1107 has a choke so is easier to start if you are a beginner.
Hi mate,
I have a vertigo eac with 55 pinion I would sell if your interested pm me, I may have some other goodies on you list too?
Btw steer clear of the bowtie tyres they are rubbish, the madmax big diggers are much better imo
Mark?
Yes mate gears as in spur and pinion, I think the 38cc engine is probably a rovan one? Swerve that too..lol
Stick with the offerings from zenoah and you'll be ok?
I'm with Dan, it's seems silly to me to strip the whole engine down an not change the seals as they are only a few quid, I myself would change the crank bearings too but that's just me..Lol
Also looking at the state the piston is in I'm presuming the barrel is goose too.
Post a pic of inside the cylinder.
Hi mate,
That engine is is knackered and will require a new head kit Inc cylinder piston and ring to get it up and running again, also the case will have to be split to make sure all the bits of piston and circlip debris are removed.
I would also fit new crank seals whilst you where at it.
The likely reason for it cutting out on full throttle is fuel starvation so I'd say you where running it too lean on the H needle.

Alx engines come as a complete drop in package including pipe, cluch and air filter and it does fit in a team chase cage.
Alx engines have off the shelf scooter cylinders just the heads are custom.
Hope that helps, whichever engine you go for you won't be disappointed.
On another note ..Rcmk do use standard heads but they need to be modified to fit the twin.
I have voted alx.
I have both, Alx 48 mallossi and a rcmk twin although I have not ran the twin yet I know the alx is more powerful and the customer service and after care is excellent.
Scott finlay engines are very good but over priced imo, you can get an obr billet 320 reed case engine for the same price.

Infact it's a fiver cheaper
If you have the 5sc cups, the flm sd extended shafts will fit bud.

I run these on my bigbore rig
To start with a chokeless carb I open the Low speed needle 1/2 a turn an it fires within a couple of pulls, then return the needle.
It's easy once you get the hang of it bud
Carpmart beat me to it..lol
