  1. Having a clear out to try and free up some funds for the next rc! All items are on ebay but if I receive a fair offer on here (and the item doesn't have any bids) I am happy to stop the auctions. First two items are USED but in good working order Hobao Hyper 10tte 1/10 Rolling chassis -
  2. My mate was just given a CEN racing 1/8 nitro truggy. I'm a leccy guy so have no experience with nitro models, looks pretty clean and straight and has a 4.6 motor apparently. These any good? what sort of money are they worth?

I got a cen onroad after my first kyosho pureten back in 05 and the cen looked impressive. But parts are hard to get.

the cen gst7.0 has one of the best diffs around ive heard.

  3. new esc and motor arrived today. Time to heat up the ol soldering iron!

  4. Will they post the item to france? because I am in france and often buy stuff of ebay.de

Which combo? 80a ESC and which kV can? 2s usage shouldn't be an issue, IMO.

80A esc with the 3520kv motor. I have the castle sidewinder sct esc and 3800 motor combo in my 2wd slash. do you think I will get same sort of speed in this 4wd truggy?

yep that worked! I was just putting hyper tt in search.

  7. I have all the required bits now to make the links just need to find a some free time to have a go at it! After a lot of searching and trawling the web, I was lucky and found the shell on ebay. Cost a pretty penny but well worth it, it is a nice looking body and I will get some photos up soon.
  8. Bought my 1yr old his first rc today! Cute little ferrari F1 car andhe loves it!

rofl, in 12yrs time he is going to ask for a V8 powered trophy truck, and hand you back a battered ferrari f1

  9. I had a CC01 but quickly got frustrated with it. I enjoyed building it and liked the scale looks but was disappointed with handling. I sold it and went for a scx10 which in my opinion is much better.
  10. that's kind of what I was thinking after a while staring at the chassis and scratching my head! is the dingo the shortest scx10? the body I have is roughly 27cm from centre to centre of the wheel arches. Am I going to have make custom links?
  11. I have just purchased the Nikko Mercedes G wagon hard body and I wish to mount it on my scx10 (deadbolt RTR). First hurdle I have come across is an issue with the wheelbase. From what I can see my scx10 is already in the short wheelbase set up so I how do I shorten it some more without chopping up the chassis?
  12. Thanks for all the advice guys. I have got a my hop up shopping list ready and now I just need to find the money for it. just spent most of what I had put aside on a rather sweet Mercedes g wagon hard body!
  13. Like the title says I would like to ask which company makes the best upgrade/hop-up parts for the scx10. I have been searching for some bits and there seem to be a load companies making parts for the scx10 with quite a varied range in price for the same parts. I am looking at things like steering assemblies, CVDs and hubs and stuff like that. Are there any makers I should steer well clear of? Is there a go-to maker for good quality parts?
  14. So happy i sold my CC01 and bought an scx10. What i lost in scale looks i make up tenfold in handling!

  15. I second that. the guys at kyosho uk customer support have always been helpful when I have had problems with my mini zs
  16. Looking to get a new project and as the title says I have narrowed it down to two options. Which is best for light rock crawling and trailing? which is best out of the box? I will be getting the kit version of which ever one I choose. Would just like to hear peoples experiences or views on these two models (I know there are already a lot of threads on these models already but I would like to get a comparison of the two) Or if there is any other scale/light crawling/trailing model I have missed in the same sort of budget range as these two? Thanks in advance
  17. Well I got a new little problem with my truck. After letting my 8 year old nephew have a go with it (big mistake!) I have a slight difference in my steering. I seem to get full lock going left and not going right. the difference is not that big but big enough to effect my turning circle and to annoy me! I have stripped the front end down and rebuilt it and still have the same problem. Any ideas what this could be? Im not sure of the name of the adjustable rod things that connect the servo arms to the c hubs but I have also had a little play with them to see if that's the problem and no joy. Is it possible my servo has stripped some teeth inside it? I have the stock 2075 traxxas plastic geared servo.
  18. So I just installed the gpm steering kit on my truck and if im honest I can't see any improvement in the steering. I can't really see any difference to the stock set up. Am I missing something? do I need to get new steering linkages also? Is there anything I can do to improve the turning circle?
  19. First test run out with the truck today. Managed to strap one of my square lipo packs to the chassis with some wire, zip ties and a bit of duct tape! it held enough for this test run. Quite good fun for a slow truck but really need to upgrade the steering!
  20. So here is my very first kit built Land Cruiser. Was very happy with the build, went together with no problems and was good fun to do. I have a few upgrades already bought and will be installed soon. This was the first time I painted a lexan shell. Had a few seepages through the window masks and somehow a few specs of blue got through the roofing mask. But for a first attempt I am quite happy with it. How do I make this picture bigger?
  21. Is anybody else having trouble with ebay today? My ebay is not behaving like it should

  22. I have also seen those battery packs and they look ok for the tray. Do stick packs have a standard size? So chassis is built. completely stock to start of with, I just wanted to follow the instructions completely to get to know the model first. My upgrades arrived yesterday so will get to them maybe next week. Now it's time to paint my first lexan shell. Wish me luck and pics will follow!
  23. If i have learnt one thing today it's that lexan shells aren't easy to cut!

Agree with HLT. With a decent craft knife, score and snap. Good for masking as well.

Smaller scissors are easier to cut them with.

I use a small pair of sharp curved nail cutting scissors, makes wheel arches easier to.

      This sort of thing.

CoreRc do curved and straight lexan scissors. Very good.

  24. So the kit arrived yesterday and the build is coming along nicely. One thing I have noticed though is that my lipos don't fit in the battery tray. Anybody know what 2s lipos I can buy which will fit in this truck without having to modify the chassis?
  25. Just when i had given up hope on my new cc01 kit arriving today. ding-dong! who's that at the door?!
