  1. So, I got my dx4s today and was binding it with this 3300t receiver, going through the bind process and it just wouldn't bind, so I did this a few times and it still wouldn't, took all the leads out and plugged them back in again, only this time there was a little crackle, the casing filled with smoke and a little part started glowing... It seems I put the battery connector in the wrong way round, so the poles were reversed... And it exploded... I've put the battery I the wrong way round accidentally in other receivers and none of them have reacted like this... Any ideas?? Also, if anyone knows what the little part is anywhere I could find another to solder on that would be wonderful, don't want to have to buy a new receiver :') and yes, I know I am very stupid for doing that :') Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Threw my toothbrush at a pile of parts when I realised I haven't got a clue how to put it back together... Two weeks after taking it apart... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Ahh, sorry, my bad :/ apologies... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Wheel nuts tend be a standard size if I'm correct... I think most 1/8 and 1/10 scales are M4. I just buy a big pack of cheap lock nuts from a hardware store, works out cheaper and if I lose one I have plenty more... Find out what size the thread is on the axle and go get some generic ones :b they're cheaper and every little helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I'd be interested in the receiver and leads if you split, pm'd you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Okay, will do, thank you for your help
  7. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__46637__Orange_RX_Short_Range_Telemetry_Station.html One of those plugged into one aux port on the supplied spektrum srs4210 or srs410 receivers, as one of those is way cheaper than the spektrum telemetry receiver... then i can jump it between models when needed... and would it work with a disarm receiver even though it's dsm2? Or will the telemetry only show if a genuine spektrum telemetry receiver is used??
  8. Also, in terms of the telemetry, would plugging an orange telemetry station into one of the aux ports on a spektrum receiver work??
  9. Okay, I've decided to go for the spektrum, as I am mainly bashing at the moment, and it will probably work out to be cheaper now I just need to be paid and I can get it ordered Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. At the moment I'm just bashing, however, once I've finished my exams I was thinking about starting racing which is part of the reason I was looking for a new system. I know the sanwa is backwards compatible but hadn't been able to find any of the older receivers for any cheaper anywhere...
  11. I'm looking for three telemetry receivers... And the spektrum ones aren't that much cheaper... Plus I would then have to buy the sensors, which come pre packed in the sanwa... So in reality, even selling the spektrum receivers straight up, I'm not sure there would be an awful lot in it price wise... Decisions decisions... :') Sorry to kind of disagree with you, I do value your opinion, probably should have made what I actually want clear at the start :') Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The other thing between the two is avc on the spektrum vs telemetry on the sanwa... I feel like I'm not really gonna use avc and knowing engine temps ( I only run nitro) and particularly receiver voltage could be quite useful... I know this is offered on the spektrum, but the fact the sanwa comes with it straight out of the box is something I was taking into account too... I can get a dx4s for
  13. So swapping around isn't really feasible? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I know you can save models, but I thought you had the bind each model setting to a separate receiver? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I had thought about having one rx to swap around, but once I've got all the settings right for one model I would just have to delete them all again and start over when I swap it... which will be very tedious...
  16. So, for a while I've been thinking about upgrading my radio gear, and I've come to the final choice, between a dx4s or a Sanwa MT4. I'm leaning towards the MT4, as from what I've read it seems to be a better quality piece of kit and is better in terms of range and signal glitches. My only issue is with finding receivers. The cheapest place I've found to get receivers is the HobbyKing international warehouse, from which shipping is extortionate and customs will have a field day... So, if there is anywhere in the UK that sells them at a similar price or cheaper, I will definitely go for the sanwa, so do any of you know if there is anywhere that does?? If not, I may go for the dx4s, purely on cost...

  18. Turnbuckle wrench so I can finally sort out the toe on my savage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. While you can get k&n look a like air filters they're really not worth it as they don't provide nearly enough protection to the engine as they aren't foam and there's no way to oil them properly, personally, air filters are one of the parts I spend more money on, for the higher quality as a bad or not oiled air filter is only gonna damage an expensive engine, motor savers are a good brand to go for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. My slayer while bashing on Thursday, and one of the dirtiness when I was done: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. So I'm looking to make my slayer a bit better in large jumps, I've got some stiffer springs on order, but the ride is still to low. Now I know the revo is the same chassis and suspension set up, but are the pushrods longer on a revo? And if so, would putting them into my slayer work? I know it'll lose some of the handling being higher cg, but just soaking up the jumps, I imagine higher ride is better... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Okay, thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah, I was looking at them, I also found a fastrax voltz 3000mah, but are they too big as well, I can find any dimensions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Ah, okay, thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
