  1. Cheers for that John, ordered 2 sets of them. Already have a new set with rubber seals ready for my monster truck. Netmerchants discount was reduced to 50% at some point on Saturday so still bargains to be had. Only RC stuff left is Acoms Band 3 27mhz crystals & various 40mhz crystals. There are some Revell mini RC Chinooks left at around

    Vaping

I'm planning on quitting smoking soon, mainly because i have 2 operations this year where they're doing triple fusions on each of my ankles because of Tarsal Coalition and the associated pain i have. It really wouldn't work out much cheaper for me to do e-cigs i guess as i only smoke 2oz a week and i got my baccy from Belgium for
  3. The delivery driver in my area has changed, used to be a lady with an estate car but now have another lady that has a van. Had to laugh when i had parcel collected by the original one, it was a big parcel that wasn't far short of maximum size and she had a load of parcels already in the car plus 2 kids in the back because it was school holidays. She had to rearrange all the parcels she had including placing some on kids laps so mine could fit in
  4. Suffered a power cut last night so couldn't keep up with this thread. Thanks for advice guys i got some PC paint coming as required, will find a use for this cheap paint elsewhere no doubt. Where i live the nearest large town is 6-7 miles away and i can't be bothered to keep driving there all the time so only go there for large shopping trips. When i do go for a large shop i usually shop at 3 stores, Farmfoods, Aldi and Tesco. For smaller shopping trips i will use the 2 stores in our village which are Tesco and Aldi, both are quite small and have limited stock of which some is exactly the same brand but cheaper at Aldi and Aldi also has stuff i like which is not available or superior than at Tesco. Tesco also has stuff which is unavailable or which is superior to stuff available at Aldi so quite often when shopping locally i use both shops to top up the cupboards at home. I'm not ashamed at all when it comes to saving money.
  5. It was because of a seller listing an old one of these (M-02 chassis) minus the shell on ebay under model kits instead in RC Cars that got me interested in the hobby. I didn't win that chassis but since then i've bought other RC Cars and bits and pieces and am more interested in this hobby than model building. I don't think this car will be
  6. Think you may be right there as the paint on my nitro car is flaking as you have described so that could have been painted with similar stuff. I reckon the paint for metal would be enamels so should be ok for lexans but from what i saw were not available in so many colours, just black, white and grey. I've got the old Subaru shell partially painted and will subject it to extreme testing tomorrow after paint is fully dried, cannot post img at moment as photobucket refuses to let me sign in.
  7. Aldi has some aerosol paints in stock that may be useful for painting shells and maybe some metal parts too. There are 2 types, 1 for metal and the other is for wood, plastic, ceramics etc and come in various glossy colours like white, black, red, navy blue, yellow, yellow green (like lime green) and seem good value at

    as if!

    all i can say is
  9. Well i won't be selling my Modena shell/decals/spoiler straight away John but let me know if you list your shell on ebay so i can watch and see what it sells for. The shells don't come up too often from what i have seen so should get a fair bit of attention. Found on another forum that apparently there are slight problems when using shell, the rear wings tend to buckle or something like that. Nice vette, not my sort of thing really as i prefer classic British cars. Not sure if i'll even make use of the Porsche GT3R and Supra shells with cars i ordered yet. From my profile pic you can see i have a Ferrari FXX and a couple of Subaru shells, they're just used for bashing. Got a Nascar type shell and a Mitsubishi Evo shell from someone on here that'll be used as bashers too. I'd like some decent quality classic British car shells for shelf queens though.
  10. I could have been greedy and had the lot then sell on for profit what i didn't want. I want the TL-01 chassis more than anything so will probably sell the poncy Italian rubbish shell on afterwards and maybe get back almost what i paid for the kit itself.
  11. There are thieves in all large companies (at least) so not surprising stuff does go missing really but the majority of workers are honest and don't steal.
  12. The ones i got myself were 58283 Porsche 911 GT3R Cup VIP (TL-01), 58289 Ferrari Modena (TL-01) and 58359 Esso Ultraflo Supra 2005 (TT-01) for less than
  13. Wasn't sure whether to place this in here or not but seeing as it is RC Car related i will. Netmerchants are doing a sale, enter discount at checkout to get 75% off the LISTED price on everything (i think). I've left a couple of Tamiya QD cars, a Tamiya XB Enzo RTR and a Tamiya TL-01 Ferrari Modena for those fast enough now. Postage is free for orders over
  14. Thanks for offer Noj, glad i held out this time though.
  15. Just done a search and found CEN Racing is a member of this forum and supplied a link to a manual for it so should get more than one cheap run out of it
  16. Right you are, many thanks. Not having knowledge of these myself i wasn't sure and to be honest i did think it may not have been a CT4S due to the holes cut in chassis being different, they are correct for the GX1.
  17. You're much more likely to get to read bad reviews than good reviews, thats the way it is. Hermes became very popular after the RM price increases in April last year so got a larger customer base, more parcels and extra staff etc. A companies reputation is determined by its quality of staff and whether they do their job correctly or not. If a staff member has decided to steal a parcel and marked it as delivered then delivered is what they'll see on their computer screens. It's then down to the company to check that delivery drivers rounds and see how many complaints they have had and take relevant action. Personally i haven't had a problem with any of the items i have sent through them or delivered by them, never took more than 3 days everytime.
