  1. It has well and truly wiped out my new gun budget for quite a while. Time to get a load of stuff on eBay and get some money back in the hobby budget. John
  2. Finally a scope decision. Nice choice even if it is OTT for the HW30s. I was seriously thinking about a bullpup but the HW44 caught my eye. The dangers of your local, gun shop. Only problem is if I don’t shoot well with it I can’t blame the pistol. John ’
  3. No bullpup now this year. The dangers of checking out stock in your local, gun shop. Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster.
  4. It’s Weihrauch’s latest gun. An HW44 PCP 22 cal air pistol. Not cheap. A BSA R10 SE is only fifty quid more than the HW44 with moderator. To put the nto context though the HW44 compares favourably to a £1,500.00 match pistol so is a bit of a bargain really. It is a move away from conventional air pistols and is based on the HW110 with extensive use of ballistic polymers. Glock and other firearm manufacturers are moving to polymers as it saves weight and keeps costs down. It just oozes quality when you handle it. As mentioned it’s a PCP and uses the same 10 shot mag as the HW110 and gives about 125 shots per charge. The ergonomic moulded grip is incredibly comfortable and the whole pistol feels light and well balanced. Just a brilliant bit of design. Have fitted the optional, moderator and a 2 x 20 pistol scope. A cracking piece of kit. There is an FAC version available in the US that is rated at 18 ft lbs which could be a bit interesting. John
  5. Collected this little lot from the gun shop this morning. John
  6. Trip to the gun shop in the morning to collect something rather interesting. And no it’s not a bullpup but it is a PCP. John
  7. Nice start to filling that fancy tool box. John
  8. Nice job. I like that colour for some reason.
  9. Grmade 2.2” beadlocks for the FTX Mauler conversion project. John
  10. Something to do with Hotmail and get the same huge block of text at the top of every page and have to click on the x to remove it. John
  11. Mines sitting on the corner of my desk. Makes a great paperweight. John
  12. Why not a Hawke Airmax? Similar price to the Nikon. John
  13. I’ve built five CC-01s so far and yes they are nice little trail runners so long as the terrain isn’t too rough. Fav is the Jeep The Landfreeder can make a nice project as well.
  14. Quite possibly. None of that Chinese stuff but proper Sheffield steel..
  15. As they say one step forward two steps back.
  16. Nothing RC, just a large made in Sheffield engineers square but was on half price sale and then had a £10.00 voucher so saved twenty quid off the regular price. John
  17. To quote the A Team I love it wn a plan comes together.
  18. Agree like the Defiant but not at that price. Think the problem for the Defiant is that there are some seriously nice bits of kit in the £1000.00 to £1300.00 range. FX Wildcat anyone?
  19. At a thousand quid for the Defiant think there may be a Kral in my future. John
  20. Any idea of the price of the Defiant? Although can’t see myself getting one as the Kral looks like a great bargain.
  21. These are the ones I use. Cheap but really good. Just need some beadlock to go with them. Used to recommend the HPI Rock 8 beadlocks but they've suddenly doubled In price. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4Pcs-Austar-2-2-125mm-1-10-Scale-Tires-for-1-10-RC4WD-RC-Rock-Crawler-E8P7/152878562116?hash=item239845bb44:g:OtMAAOSwiKlZv4VB
  22. Seems to shoot well. Don’t like the laminate stock though. Would rather have the walnut. John
