  1. did you have any issue with the drive shafts? mine are always broken.
  2. the ryft looks more like 1/8th scale, but then it must be big to fit a 4S lipo in the front.
  3. if you put a small bit of after run oil on it before you put it on then it might last a bit longer.
  4. IS the servo horn stripped?
  5. OKs like you need a new exhaust gasket as well as that on is start to split.
  6. 47MPH on the 18T pinion yesterday :D Really enjoying this truck. It does keep trying to take off now though.
  7. wild spotted tekno in this tree is a very rare sighting
  8. for the throttle and brake the speed is more important. you will feel more difference with a faster servo than a stronger servo as the throttle and brakes cant really benefit from more force once you can lock the wheels braking.
  9. Has anyone on here broken an axle housing yet?
  10. Longest electric to nitro conversion ever continues Now has a Novarossi P5. Got a new tank and fuel lines to put it. Still waiting on a throttle servo horn as the current one is the incorrect linkage and doesn't work effectively.
  11. Looks great! Finally got the adaptor to run mine. I might run it this weekend if I don't manage to get a nitro going instead.
  12. Probably same if you walked into someone in the street, or cycled into someone. You don't need insurance to drive an rc car. It's silly to have it. Just a complete waste of money going into some insurance companies pocket. This isn't merica where they will sue you for 1 million dollars for breaking a finger or toe. Just be careful when and where you drive!
  13. You are much better off leaving the spur plastic and setting the mesh correctly and making sure the motor doesn't move and stripping a few of those than putting in a steel spur and then messing that up and much higher cost and maybe more damage.
  14. Have you got some more pictures of the XB808? I might be interested in that as a spares car for mine :)
  15. i think the ic5 are 0.5 or 1mm bigger.
  16. i know its the older model, but the python 6s seems to be a good deal and well be really fast on 4s https://www.modelsport.co.uk/corally-python-xp-6s-buggy-1-8-swb-brushless-rtr/rc-car-products/444329
  17. the hubs are really strong anyway. I've only ever broken a couple. the standard front bumper is a bit rubbish. i ran the tbone one for a while, but it was a bit too big. If i recommend you stocked up on any parts it would be wing mounts. I seem to break mine all the time. They are only £6.5ish a set.
  18. they hyper st pro comes with all the upgraded parts out the box. Its a really good deal when you think most manufactures would sell you them all one by one for £20-40 a part!
  19. why would anyone ever go out the cave, the man in the cave is happy enough.

    Shocks

If its the older version with the plastic seals then you should just be able to buy the newer version shocks with the rubber o rings or maybe you can just get the o rings.
  21. Well i've ran it a few times now. Was using a 14T pinion to start with, but gone for a 18T pinion now and tested that out today. I think it ran 40mph ish with the 14T if i remember correctly. Should do more like 50mph on the 18T, but i didnt put the GPS on it yet. The motor was only hitting 40C on the 14T pinion. Pretty cold really after running flat out on grass. With the 18T pinion it only was about 60C. Also an update on the tyres. They are great. Zero regrets not waiting for the MX SC to come back in stock.
  22. Yes its actually quite stupid the amount of power it has. I was running my sct410.3 after this which i had just changed the pinion up 4 teeth from 14t to 18t and it felt slow and weak after driving this. Its a shame all the older pictures on the thread aren't loading any more.
  23. That first 4092 died when the back end off the motor came lose. The rotor shattered. Ran it on the 1700KV again for a while. managed to get a 58mph speed run broke wing mount and rear arm at the skate park Also it fell into a stream and the rear tyres blew up Gone back to a 4092 again now, same 1650KV. Got some used wheel and tyres. Broken wing mounts multiple times now. Some shots from today's run.
  24. Does RIT dye stain the pan or pot? Ive got some black to dye some parts, but i dont want to ruin an expensive pan.

I've used RIT a few times in a stainless steel pan and I've had no issues with staining, so much so that I still cook with it.. 😉

  25. There wont be this problem if tamyia and kyosho make enough kits to meet demand as well. They limit them on purpose to make them more exclusive. The are re releasing everything that they already made with maybe minor changes at best because they know the people who wanted them back then now have the money to afford them now. It doesn't require as much effort as a whole new car, but then maybe people would rather have the same thing over and over rather than something new. Maybe the manufacturers are even selling them too cheap in the first place, if there is still room for someone else to buy them and sell them on ebay and still make a bit.
