  2. I can't decide on an Arrma Mojave or not. I've never spent £600 in one go before on an rc but they look fantastic.

For what it's worth a guy at our bash has a Mojave and it's took an absolute beating ,so far it hasn't missed a beat

    3. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

The more I look at the Mojave the less I like it, the wheelbase looks too short for the body to me. Good to hear it's a good basher tho and I might be tempted on a second hand one in the future just to bash about. The UDR and SBR are the ones that interest me more but again second hand I think. Can't bring myself to spend the new prices.

@froggy8 planes can be easy or hard, i cheat and use eagletree guardian stabilisers in my wings, the chaser in the pic and my eashine blackwing 680 have them, building a 1000mm wing with one and my sonicmodel AR900 has full Inav on matek F405 wing board with gps and full fpv with separate HD cam now that one is easy, put it in Horizon, arm it, throttle to half and wang it, auto launch then kicks in and runs the motor up for 10 seconds climb, has failsafe so when it runs out f radio range it heads back and loiters at a height of 80m

    3. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Ok well I have no idea what most of that means.

Personally I'd rather just learn the old fashioned way.... Practice.

    4. Lone-wolf

      Lone-wolf

good on you, i flew today, 1600 ranger old fashioned way, little volantex firstar 200 very old fashioned and my chaser wing

Has anyone had the £15 off? I just spent it no issue. £35 item for £20. Ill try next damn mayb it would have worked then.

I checked my last purchase on that account and it was 2016 my only purchase so why they keep giving cash vouchers idk.

The code was long top up style.

    4. Nickarla

      Nickarla

Tried again and this time got £23 off a HobbyWing max8 combo.

  5. Gonna miss my Hyper 7.5. At least it means i can get my Savage back up and running. Ordered an Answer RC clutch and a standard length LCG IRC chassis kit

    1. froggy8

      froggy8

      whats wrong with your savage?

    2. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Cracked engine mount plate and bent one TVP. I only realised when i took the engine out to look at the clutch. I understand why the rear of the truck was flexing so much i broke two fuel tanks now.

there are some short cuts when it comes to using lots of colours but with 2 tone you're abit limited, heavily depends on the colours used, if it too much you could alway send it to someone, some people that arn't pros can do a decent job for afew quid.

    3. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

I think in future ill just get them done properly. I'll have a go with this one and see what happens.

    4. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Just might have to be a one colour wonder!

don't forget the 5% in the email box bottom left, before your order

    4. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Ok ta. They don't seem to have any SC8's tho so i might just have to order from ebay. I'll keep an eye on there.

  8. Cant decide what to do! Got 300 budget for RC stuff and cant decide what to get, upgrades and bits for the cars i have or something new.

I'd love a km baja bud dont think i could afford to keep one going in the inevitable repairs and upgrades. All costs alot more for 5th scale.

    3. DannyP

      DannyP

Firestorm Flux and a couple of LiPo's from HK.

    1. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

      mini-z-awd

    3. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

I'll just put it back in my Hyper and get something else for the Savage. Stuck an Alturn 750mg in there for now, tis better than the standard servo.

Get a power hd 1501 in theyre or a xq servo mate better than half of the savox stuff

    3. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Ive got an Alturn one i can stick in there. Cant remember the torque but i think it will do the job.

  15. Anybody know when the Spektrum DX3.0 was available and if the cheapy Hobbyking receivers work with it?

    1. Show previous comments  1 more
    2. RCbutcher

      RCbutcher

i dont think hobbyking receivers would work with it. Its only the dsm2 spectrums that go with the flysky rxs. But the dx3.0 sounds like a good radio for 30ish. But a dx3c or dx3s would be better from

    3. Nitroholic

      Nitroholic

no to the HK receivers. DX3.0 was phased out 3 or 4 years ago replaced by the 6V versions

I'm thinking the flywheel is being held up aswell, will instantly cut out your engine..

    4. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Just been looking at it while I put on some new fuel tube and got rid of the fuel cooler thing and the flywheel doesn't stick out from the bottom of the chassis.

  17. Hyper 7.5 is in one piece, soon be time to test it out :-D

  18. Are RC Bearings pretty quick with postage? Got a mini ST all over the coffee table and need new bearings as quick as possible. :-)

  19. Bought a nice looking Hyper 7.5 roller on ebay, just got to decide on brushless or nitro

    1. jake1*2011

      jake1*2011

Brushless, you will never regret it

    2. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

      I do like brushless...

My mate has just given me a nitro engine which I can use to get me going. Think I will get the bits to convert it tho.

    3. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Will take me a while to get all the electrics so at least I can use it till then.

      Thank you guys.

  21. Well I was all set to get myself a second hand Hyper ST or a Savage X. But with those MTA S50's for sale at that price is making me think again.

  22. Found a great new bash spot, nice gravelly bmx track. shame I cant keep the blitz in a straight line to take the jumps properly!

  23. Can I run my Bullet ST 3.0 on 25% fuel? Was gonna buy a 5 litre Opti race and split it with my brother in law for his Hyper but im using 20% at the mo

    1. TrickyTris

      TrickyTris

25% is fine for the Bullet. Will also make it pull some wheelies! lol

    2. Honeybadger

      Honeybadger

Cool ok I will order that then.

  24. Is a buggy like a mad rat better for bashing than a Tamiya buggy for an 11 year old?
