hi all i have a tamiya grand hauler converted into day cab truck and trailer. the rear bed is hinged for battery to go underneath, has some lights fitted, interior and driver. no gear servo locked in lowest gear but does have steering servo and hobbywing esc. no tx or rx. can show more pics etc if somebody is interested. would like a tamiya euro truck not sure which one yet but the merc actro is looking favourite. sorry must be collection really as i cant get around. without load although may be persuaded to let it go, trailer is bruder based.

hello, i had one of those and the exact thing happened. mine had done the gears so i ordered a much better two speed gear box from ebay about £12 with a motor and it was great, a whole lot better 👍👍

i have a grand hauler and a glode liner, grand hauler is red with double back cab. globe liner is black with heavy weathering, rust, water marks etc. looking for euro trucks now. neither have mfu but do have some lights inc indicators. either one can come with usa style flatbed. not the low loader thats not included in any deal. will give more details if anyones interested. must be essex area/east london. cheers

cheers gaz, if it was just body mod,s proberly give it a go but looks a bit more. i think i might do a px and swap in my globeliner and grand hauler for uk trucks. cheers??

hi all i could do with some help, would anybody know if a tamiya scania, mann or merc shell fit on the chassis of a grand hauler and a globe liner?. i have both but fancy switching to uk trucks instead. cheers

hi mate thanks?. the chrome steps are from the kit, the bumper is ally and i made it myself along with the orange plates over the rear. the rad and visor are from ebay. you do have a chrome visor and bumper with the kit. iver never built or made anything like this before at all exept airfix back in the 80,s maybe. my advice with some things are try yourself before buying as bits are expensive but very good. the back plates and bumper are 1mm ally sheet which i scored n cut with a stanley knife and i think they look good, i did build the bumper around a box for strength. i also made the arials and the tyres are white rubber paint so no peely white wall tranferes. mate i dont know much about these now and new nothing before but ill always try to help if i can. cheers?? oh n the paint is halfords car spray.

hi mate i just did my first truck a hauler, the dents in the back of the cab roof are for lights if you get the mfu, i fitted them in the hauler but not the globeliner im doing now so i just left them undrilled. the cab roof i glued on, agian after fitting lights from mfu and was sprayed same as truck. maybe some help.

oh i have also read not to use digital servos with tamiya mfu,s!. dont know how i put that quote there!!!!

im just selling my tamiya mfu as its like trying to cheat codes on an old megadrive to be able to use the functions/sounds. you have to have trims in certain places and do twiddle things with the sticks through special moves!!! , i just couldnt be bovered im looking for something simple or nothing and go with my stick and wheel control which i find much better than sticks. i use lipo,s in both my trucks with an alarm and i think they are much better than when i use ni-mh. dont know if i helped or not really just going on i think.?

i have a planet 5 tx running my truck with a tamiya mfu, recently i got a new globe liner which i have to run off my spectrum trigger and wheel set up (3chnl but i only use 1st n 2nd gear off third chnl). i much prefer this control and want to use on my other truck but can i keep the mfu running just for the engine sound as i dont really use any of the functions anyhow. cheers if anyone can help

yeah if i unplugged the rear servo from the turnigy but left it in place (front connected) the front was fine.

hello mate are you using the reverse steering switch from turnigy!. i ended up trying three of these on my crawler with two identicle savox servo,s and had the same problem with each one, in the end i put my specktrum rx and tx in which has a third channel for 4ws without the need of the servo switch and it worked perfect, so in my experience the turnigy switches arent that good.

hi daddyroo cheers, what handset do you have as this planet 5 is doing my head in i cant seem to work out hardly any of the sounds as its all special features with tricky lever.movements and trim positioning to make it do things !!! i practically just use the engine running and horn. cheers

hi ive seen a few tamiya trucks with the speaker mounted directly the the shell roof, can you just take the box of and do this and has anyone tried, is it as good or worse !. id love to save the room the box takes up. also ive just built a globeline and when building something didnt seem quite right with the gear box so i rebuilt it and it came out just the same, feels loose or slacky, i thougherly checked with the instructions and could not find a fault with my build. now finished its not quite right and my 1st,2nd and 3rd gear are back to front on my rx, fwd n rev are fine but its 3,2,1. my flysky tx has no rev but this would rev my back/foward. does anybody know why this is. cheers help would be greatly apprietated as its my furst complete build.

cheers for replies nothing seems to work its a mismatch of servo trim location and special moves lol. does any onenof a tx that just opperates all the functions with just seperate switches ie a switch for horn a switch for air release at switch for shutdown etc none of this different trim postition and then , left right up down etc its like a sonic the hedgehog cheat code lol.

lovely sounds like that could be ,exept im sure i have no button or electrics to my 5th wheel!. cheers
