Sorry to hear about the car, I know how you feel about the hobby being to expensive and I have the same problem that your having at the moment but with my Hpi brama, basically the main problem is that your car is no longer being made and isn't an incredibly popular model, therefore it will be harder to get parts for it. The reason I kept my brama was because it was my first RC and it meant a lot to me.
But if you don't mind moving on from the Kryptonite then you would be better off picking up so thing like an Hpi trophy or a Hobao Hyper 7 (that is if you want to stick to nitro) the reason being that as these cars are more popular and parts will be easier to find and so will help and advice on what to do with them. And if those cars are too expensive then look at some other cars on modelsport, but if you buying nitro or electric for that matter stay away from Nitrotek because the prices are low for a very good reason!
