  1. Thanks for the positive comment John, sadly I have to agree with you on the Lunchbox, however it will be fixed with a lexan body from Parma pse, some white and green paint and a lot of stickers! Ben.
  2. Personally i wouldnt buy nitro for a first car as they can be really annoying to get running, your better off with an electric off-road car. The rustler and firestorm are both great cars and your son should be very pleased with either of them. If your based near Birmingham then i suggest you check out radshaperc, they are heving an Hpi open day on the 6th of december where you can see the firestorm and rustler and get a discount on the firestorm. Ben.
  3. Here's a quick video i took a while back but only just edited and uploaded it, so enjoy! If you like the video then subscribe for more (ultimate cheesy line) Ben.
  4. Two new videos now, hope you enjoy! Ben.
  5. Awesome build, never seen anything built with so much detail and realism. Ben.
  6. Hi mate, welcome to the forum, nice choice on the landfreeder, for a few tips on how to get it going well go and have read of the cc01 owners club thread in the scale and replica section. Here's a link http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/197394-tamiya-cc-01-owners-club-photos-and-discussions/ Ben.
  7. Having had experience with Vaterra cars i can honestly say that the other companies are missing a trick. That trick being stock packages, of all the cars on the market Vaterra cars come with the best RTR package and the upgrades are perfect in the kit versions, next to an SCX10 i would choose the ascender any day. Ben.
  8. Does anyone know if it is possible to make an Archimedes screw drive system for an rc car?

  10. This will work http://www.radshaperc.com/product/tamiya-cc-01-bull-bar Ben.
  11. I saw this a while ago while shopping for parts, i agree with you oodboo everyone should be allowed to build what they want, just as long its not an abomination that brings shame upon the cars owner and every company who's parts contributed to the build. Keep building guys! Ben.
  12. Yeah that was the plan, sadly the trip got put off so i think i will just have to order the bumper and hope for the best. Ben.
  13. I like the sideways links oodboo. I had an idea recently but I wanted to check it, radshape make a front bumper for the cc01 similar to the option part in the kit. In the listing on their website it shows the bumper fitted to a cc01 with a land cruiser body, I wanted to know if it would fit the Unimog body as it looks perfect for mounting a winch to. I'm going up to the shop on Saturday so if they have one I might ask them if I can dry fit it to my cc01 or just ask about. But some help on here would be useful. Ben.
  14. I can't wait to see the end product, well done mate, that's an awesome build Ben.
  15. Another advantage of the GT3B is that if you ever get into cars that require more than 2-3 channels then it can easily be hacked to make it an 8 channel radio. Ben.
  16. This is awesome, cant wait to see the end product! Ben.
  17. Is it ok to solder new connectors to a lipo even if it has a bit if charge in it? Of not then can I just attach crocodile clips to the bullet connectors and discharge it?

Don't discharge a lipo! It's fine to solder it as it is. Is not fine to buy a lipo if you don't know how to use them.

As 4eyes says you can solder connectors on just be carful not to touch the + - together which is just common sense

That's what I thought, just wanted to check before I did something I would regret, thanks for the help.

  18. I agree with you John, the steering kit was a real problem for me when I first got it. It wasn't until I saw this that I actually fitted it correctly. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VaGzXX3xLAk Ben.

  20. Today I finally got round to locking the diffs on my mog and fitted the GPM steering kit. That thing makes such a huge difference. Ben.
  21. I stripped, locked, greased and rebuilt the duffs on my cc01 Ben.
