  1. I found that removing the ball ends and fitting them underneath the knuckles helped in eliminate the "bump-steer" much better now! Cheers KingPin
  2. Hi guys, I'm sure this has been done before but it's a quick and easy way to fit 2.2 hex wheels on the front of your Blitzer chassis. It uses TL01 uprights and knuckles, plus the kingpins and a few o-rings as spacers. (I chose to fit HPI 2.2 wheels, hence me using HPI hex adaptors) I'll post some more pics shortly.... Cheers KingPin
  3. HI all, I'm after a set of Mini-T alloy oil shocks.I'd prefer the Losi ones but would consider any 1/18th scale shocks that work.....Cheers. KingPin
  4. Provisionally sold to oodboo - (pending payment). Cheers KingPin
  5. It's a roller, with only a 540 Silver Can and steering servo. It's box stock, with plastic bushings and po-go shocks! The chassis is in mint condition, except the bumper which has some scrapes and scratches as it was off another model. The shell is also a little "different", it's painted purple/blue and somebody (not me) tried a flip effect, no splits or cracks though. Tyres and wheels in mint condition. No box or manual, sorry.
  6. Works fine on my Samsung S4, displays everthing fine and can log into my account with no problems. Same with Chrome, on my S4, no obvious issues. I personally think it's better. cheers KingPin
  7. Is your Carnage the earlier model, or the later "waterproof" type? The newer models include an ESC you can re-calibrate a lot easier. (Look for a little switch) KingPin
  8. Might also help if you had the car on a block of wood or something similar to keep the wheels off the ground while your tinkering? At least then you have both hands free..... KingPin
  9. Be careful if you have grease on your diff cups and dog bones, grease attracts grit like a tramp on chips! Turns into a grinding paste which is bad bad bad...... Since you won't really get the power down on sand, maybe clean any grease off exposed areas prior to your beach running? You can always re-grease when your back home. Have fun! KingPin
  10. Hi mate, I've got the Carnage (truggy version of the Vantage). You don't need to do too much upgrading....well, not straight off. I got the carbon shock towers, alloy bodied shocks and anti-roll bars and that's all you really need. I also changed all the bolts to a stronger hex head type, as I found the kit fixings a little soft. I modded the battery compartment to fit 3s lipo batteries, made a cover to protect the spur gear on the underside of the chassis and picked up various pinions to change the gearing options. I would look into stocking up on some spares such as body posts (you will snap these at some point!) and a spare couple of spurs won't hurt as they are exposed to stones and dirt. Is your Vantage brushed or brushless? Cheers Kingpin
  11. We stock this at work, never used it myself though....https://www.cromwell.co.uk/LOC7254022A KingPin
  12. ^ Sorry ^ but that last post did make me chuckle! KingPin
  13. Hi mate, I'll probably go with the stock gearing, 18t pinion, 66t spur and go from there. The shifting on the fly works fine, but I also try and ease off the gas first..... I have a temp gun, so I'll have a play around. Cheers KingPin
  14. Hi all, ive just been lightly upgrading my Emaxx (3906) with new motors and 2.4 reciever and was wondering what pinion/spur might be the better option. Wanted to have a break from my brushless/lipo stuff and just relax a bit with something a bit simpler. I know the 3906 is the old model, but I put in 2 new LRP Big Block Motors and 2.4 reciever and even on Nimh the old girl nips about fine. At present, it has 22t pinion/ 64 spur which was fitted when I bought it (2nd hand). In a box of spares I also have 18t pinions and 66 spur, so i was wondering what might be best for general mucking about on grass/car parks etc..... Not really dabbled with monster trucks since my clod! Many thanks KingPin
  15. I would repair it at cost for you if you could get it to me, but I live in Derby. It's a pretty straightforward job to replace the propshaft if there is no other damage/missing parts. Replaced the drive shaft and slipper in my Carnage in an evening, even stripping and re-greasing the rear diff while I was at it! Pics would be helpful though.... KingPin
  16. Yep, well don't bother, it doesn't work! Just thought I would try it on my old worn slipper/spur and the bolts catch on the motor mount. Oh well, least I got a NIB set to put in. Worth a go I guess. Cheers Kingpin
  17. Just melted my slipper in my Carnage, (see my other post in the Electrical Section).... Just wondering if anybody has thought of locking the slipper? I don't really jump my rcs and even with the slipper tightened up fully, it still managed to slip and has melted where the pads meet the spur gear. I was thinking of drilling straight through the two aluminium plates and the spur and putting M3 bolts through with nylon nuts to keep them tight. Any thoughts? Cheers KingPin
  18. Well, thats that! Doing some pinion testing/ speed runs and I guess the slipper had other plans this weekend.... It was cranked pretty tight as I was running 3s (no jumps), thought it was the motor saying goodbye but at least I have a spare slipper/spur assembly in my spares. KingPin
  19. Picked up two sets of boxs from the Derby store, plenty left.....at the moment! KingPin
  20. You have some fantastic skills mate, truly impressive. Yours is the first scale build I have read from the start, really looking forward to the next installment! KingPin
