  1. There is a group of us that go Jubilee Park (NNW of your spot) on sunday mornings from 10am. The group is almost all 1/5th petrol, there are some that bring other things, which are welcome, but unless you're brave, I would avoid the races as contact is unavoidable. Let me know if you want to come and I will pm you my number.
  2. my name is tom but i know the man of which you speak if you keep the engine running you cant hear the complaint
  3. heya bud, i was just joining the nlb back then. There are a few groups. One predominantly petrol and the other nitro/electric. Ppl are welcome in both but it all seems to be happening on whatsapp... jubilee and oakhill park seem to be the spots for petrol. i am sure the person who just whatsapped you will fill you in on his fav spots...
  4. Ain't been on the forum for ages, but it seems nothing has changed!
  5. Boloney, Apparently it sounded like I was addressing Laz in this post so I have edited it such that your name appears first. The problem seems to have stemmed from me attempting to be grammatically correct and not putting a comma before the word 'and' in the preceding paragraph. I hope this has clarified matters. Laz, I and a bunch of others run in ne London, you should come out with us. We do get hassled sometimes and I have been kicked out of Epping twice. Our group have been over and over the various issues and byelaws, some places are OK, some are not. Essentially, as others have said (I skimmed the thread, sorry not going to read all of it) if you're polite and the cops or park rangers don't recognise you you'll be OK. If you're impolite or ignore them you'll end up with a fine or in court. What ever byelaws are in existence and how they relate to your actions is left to interpretation so they will get you for something. Its like this so the police and people with their powers can make on the spot decisions, based on all of the varying parameters at play, like if there's kids and dogs loose its a different ball game than if the place you're running is empty, but the legislators aren't going to write all of that in to acts of Parliament. It also let's the courts have the final say and update the law (by way of president). Sorry for rambling. Bottom line don't use your RC if you get told not to and don't be an arse about it. If you don't want to give your details say you don't have any I'd and give fake details. They will remember your face though...
  6. Does anyone have a Rival? I'm interested to know what the differences are regarding the knuckles and axles.
  7. No probs. Yeah, mta4's fly quite nicely. I have just converted one to brushless. The car on stilts is barnetbasher's. Unfortunately, he had been banned from MSUK! Its a kyosho twinforce with losi LST shocks, amongst many other mods. If you mean the Baja jumping into someone, that was me! Oops! The guy I drove in to has not been heard from since. I forgot to comment regarding cutting the pipe and silicone hose... I did this with a Dom and spent about
  8. i should apologise for the dust on there, looks worse in the pics i promise! the nylon you see below the mount is to prevent the chassis being marred/cut but the washer. the ply is mounted to an old swivvly chair base with 16mm (i think) ally angle, works a treat but always spins away... no, no, no, nooooooo, come back! lol
  9. no probs, here yo go: it is a bit more bent than it should be, mainly from the tree incident, although i think a few spills, even with the 5t roof bit on, have bent it in again. not to say its flexible, nor is your head guaranteed to survive, but i have bent t back and forth a few times. defo do this: if you're looking for all out speed, this seems to be the one to me (low cost, good performance) but for me, its useless living in london with fairly closed spaces. the engine just revs up and either breaks loose or i go far too fast for the space. here is a bunch of vids, the first one my best jump cos' it was balls in mouth fun! mine is the baja with blue beadlocks in the rest of the vids, a km 002a i think (with about a grand spent on it) and the red one is the same with a twirly rear pipe which i am considering buying for all round performance( not the dom), the gray one is lakies which had a obr full mod and vrc (great combo) Edit: actually i have had too many beers! i dont think those vids have my clone vrc pipe in, its the dom. the jump does but the rest are dommey! if you want running vids i'll see if i can get some posted...
  10. What I did Gary was get the dtock upper front brace and cut one of the legs off and bent it. Works well! I'll get some pickys if you want? Pretty much any right angle that's tall enough will work... The mounts strength is a toss up between you chassis and the pipe/head. I went with sacrificing the pipe/head vs chassis as I just bought a kraken and have a stock km engine. That said, I went sideways at full pelt into a tree, the mount and pipe bent but the head was fine!
  11. Hopefully you'll get around to it soon! I have no idea what kV, gears or no. of cells to go for. I was just going to guess, chuck it all in there and hope for the best! Probably not the best plan of attack but its all I got right now...
  12. Hey Jari, Check out the other forum hopefully be ready soon.... Having trouble getting hold of a leopard 4092 but I may go with a tp power 4070 instead. Have you done your conversion yet?
  13. Jordan, I just found the instruction manual for the rc8 and you are quite right sir! An oring and a washer. Trouble is, I don't have the right size washer.. Bummer...
  14. Hi Jordan, thanks for the reply. Hmmm I wonder if I have an o ring I can use... Although, wouldn't the pressure of the gears being pushed apart squish the rubber?
  15. Hi all, Starting my first brushless conversion on the MTA4. It was going really well until I came to the centre diff. I am using the mount made by the guy in Greece who recommended the spur I'm using (AS89520). I can post a link to both if needed. Oh and just in case it makes a difference im using am MTA4 diff. Problem is, I can pull the drive cup on the spur gear side out about 3-4mm which disengages the pin from the gear in the diff. Is there a spacer I can use inside the diff? I'm going to dig through the bin and make sure I didn't miss anything in the spur gear packet. If I haven't got one and can't buy one, can I make one from ally or nylon? Cheers guys,
  16. Hi Guys, Just a quickie. As per title. I can only find 'genuine' e-flite EC5 connectors on ebay for 3.50 a pair! (only place in stock anyway) There are some that are about
  17. It just bends, don't think you need to worry too much about cracking your head. I went full bore sideways in to a tree and wedged the exhaust up against the cage. So a good inch or so movement. Just bent it back... Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  18. This is what's left of what I used: And what I made it in to: Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  19. Well then hopefully it'll be with you very soon. I think I got mine 2 weeks and a few days after dispatch. If memory serves me right you have 30 days from dispatch to open a dispute if it doesn't turn up. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  20. OHO is right in that you should wait. Has it been marked as dispatched? Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
  21. well I got my pipe all fitted, ground down the port as much as i could without making the weld too thin, fabbed up a bracket from a km upper brace and took her out for a bash.... managed to go sideways in to one of the trees at the beginning of the below video and bent the pipe so it was touching the cage. Spent 20mins bending the pipe and bracket back a bit by just pulling like a mofo. Then, following my little jump there i managed to flip her over putting a nice bunch of small dents/scratches in the pipe and bust a dog bone. the chrome flakes off quite easily... I'll try to get a vid and some picys up soon, but for now... here is my jump! www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcCLZtsPBMo
  22. That's a shame nitro. We will be going out again in the coming weeks and this will certainly not be the last time we go to the quarry. Its AWESOME! Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
