While possible to use 4g and the internet your going to suffer from vast amounts of lag. So depending what your trying to do your gonna struggle

For long range the defacto standard is the tbs crossfire system. In the eu it needs to be set to 868mhz. 2.4ghz for fpv feed will be better for a car due to its penetration of obstacles 1.3 is technically not league in the UK

I used to post here pretty often and still check in every few days. But given I have no rc cars (and probably won’t bother again) I don’t find much here for me. On the other hand I am really into my quadcopters and flying wings, so focus most of my attention there. As to the thing in feb..... didn’t make the blindest bit of difference to me! In this hobby things don’t really change very fast and there are only so many ways you can do any given thing with a given model. So new threads are few and far between because people search and find someone who’s already done it, thereby solving the issue.... Forums need to innovate massively for the 21st century to stay relevant and tbh I just don’t see it..... All that being said I will lurk here till they turn the lights out probably @nick you have done a great job driving this place and nothing I have said is in any way meant to be taken personally.

Mostly that the resale value is low and you will struggle to find anywhere to use it.... (previous owner of one) that being said it’s a good little car

Nope not seen that one before. What kind of flying do you want to do? That will help a lot in defining what kinda quad to get.

i cant think of any flight controllers that include a gps as standard. however..... if you take a look at the inav project there are a number of flight controllers and gps modules you can use. the kk2 boards are super old these days and even back then they were a bit rubbish. if you want a cost effective flight controller the matek f405 series are brilliant and easy to solder. they also can run betaflight, inav etc so easy to setup... however no 2... im pretty sure you can connect your transmitter to your computer and use it on a simulator which will really help to get you the raw skills needed to pilot a 250 quad. so might be worth looking at that, i personally use lift off and velocidrone and they really helped me get to grips with flying without costing me a fortune in parts.... hope that help

Not wanting to be negative but within your budget your really going to struggle to build something anywhere near as good as a phantom. You might and I stress the might be able to find a tbs discovery for that sort of money but compared to a phantom it’s gonna seem really dated

you could easily find a 2nd hand phantom 3 standard or maybe an advanced for that budget. wouldnt do the fpv but would be fine for video and pictures
