  1. Cheers mate, good car, I would think Modelsport should have them in now / very soon? I've got one to give away also Tamiya Durga competition on oople
  2. Heres a lil review I just finished of the new Durga. I've raced it a couple of times and done very well with it - even in kit form its awesome. If someone knows a better 4WD buggy for the money I'd like to hear about it! Tamiya DB01 Durga review // oOple.com

    Tyres

I am high bidder on those as it happens. I raced the SUPER dogfighter yz870c at batley National in 2004 and it was very competitive on the flatter sections of the track, but as soon as it got into the bumps it got left behind - which is what you'd expect really. The tyres on ebay are no good for racing and don't use inserts. get some 2.2" wheels for the car and stick on some schumacher yellow mini spikes or whatever works at your track. I also used B4 shocks on the car (loads better than the kit shocks).
  4. Here is a little review I did of the Tamiya DF03 KeenHawk 4WD buggy. It's a nice buggy, not really a top level racer but it can be improved with a few little hop ups and takes a good ammount of abuse. http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewkeenhawk/
  5. Here is my little review of the Ultima RB5 2wd buggy from Kyosho - another option from the big two. http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewrb5x/index.html
  6. Here's a little report and some photos from the Micro Challenge 3
  7. Like fastboy says change your car first. I usually reserve transmitter changes to change things I've not had chance to change on my car. around -25% is OKAY on the steering curve, any more and it starts to feel very odd indeed and could mess your racing up even more
  8. Here's the motor in stu mahons Losi car
  9. spares for the b3 should still be plentiful but might not be as easy to find online.. might be a case of going to a hobby shop and seeing what they have.

    one way diff

Off power the car is basically 2WD with the front wheels free-wheeling - this gives the most steering into a corner. on power the front wheels are locked together and pull the car out of corners etc.. On a very bumpy track (off road) it can be hard to get consistent laps, so going to a centre one way or fixed 4WD might be preferable.
  11. Just finished this review of the Trakpower 4900 Lipo - raced with it a few times and its been really nice to use. the only downside is it doesnt fit half my cars (all the saddle pack cars) http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewtrakpowerlipo/
  12. Just finished this one. Raced it at york last weekend and it was really rather good I have to say - lovely car! http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/review501x/
  13. I was racing touring at garforth on the 6th for the first time in a couple of years or so, also using LiPo. The car was a bit of a let down for me though so will probably wait til I get decent car
  14. I dont know what these batteries are that drop off over the discharge, its always been amazing to me how quickly these cells drop off - there is no slow down over time. The only batteries that perform like that are non-recharable ones, but we don't generally run our cars with those.
  15. Heres mine, HN CRT rtr - JConcepts shell of course.
