  1. Ive spent the last few days trying to get my new Rascal tuned up. Can anyone tell me the base needle settings I want to get it back to the factory settings and start from scratch. More haste less speed this time. Ive broke the engine in with about 4 tanks of fuel now, took it easy on the accelerator during this phase. But I just cant seem to get the tuning right. This is my first nitro buggy and so its all a bit new to me. Is the Rascal generally easy to tune or is it just me ?
  2. I really need to get some replacement steering blocks for my Yokomo YZ-870c. I’ve not had much luck sourcing any new or second hand parts and was wondering if anyone knows of any modern parts from another buggy that would fit, say the steering blocks from a MR-4BX ? Cheers.
  3. I am in the middle of fixing up my old Tamiya Hotshot 2. Its has a Technigold RX-540VZ motor installed. I am considering scraping the mechanical speed controller and fitting an ESC instead. Can anyone suggest a cheap speed controller with reverse that would be OK. I'm not even sure how many turns the old Technigold motor is ? Anyone got any suggestions ? Cheers.
  4. I was reading your article about your yz870 on your site today Jimmy. Love the white rims and spikes. Nice to see someone with a interest in these great cars. Apart from your site I haven't found a great deal about them online. I'm really struggling to find any parts as well. Any chance you could send us some links to some suitable tyres and other parts you mentioned. Thanks.
  5. It would be a shame not to use it. But then again if I break anything on its not going to be easy getting bits for it.

    Tyres

First of all great site people. Ive been away from the scene for a number of years now. While clearing out my closets I found two of my old cars. An old Tamiya Hotshot II and my Yokomo Dogfighter YZ870c. The Hotshots seen better days (I'm working of repairing that one at the moment). But the Dogfighter is in mint condition since I only used to race it indoors! Only problem is I cant find my original off road tyres it came with. Got a spare set of rims, the ones on the car have glued on foam slicks but the other tyres are nowhere to be found. Can anyone suggest where I can get some off road tyres that are going to fit ? Found some on Ebay that look the same from what I can remember :- Yokomo Off-Road Tyres Are these going to fit ? Cheers.
