Retreating is one thing. Retreating into the Pit is something else entirely.

  2. I'd seriously consider where are you going to run a petrol car, before you make your mind up. I love em, but find it increasingly difficult to get out with them where you can relax without worrying about someone complaining or watching shaking their head. These things are really loud especially with a decent pipe on. They are also heavy to pull about if you have to walk a good distance, to get to run it. Cant see the area on your profile where your based, but i end up travelling 40- 1hr to get somewhere to actually relax and enjoy the Fives and the Baja. I love the sound and the smell of the petrol cars and think the Lecky is just not the same without the noise, but i do think about converting one of them to brushless as i could walk 2 mins to an empty cricket pitch and get straight on it without upsetting anyone, rather than making a special journey miles away. Some of the guys on here are bonkers for batteries and they dont half shift,.although...... much quieter ! and seemingly without the drama Its not like you can just take these cars to the local park and blast about, they weigh 10-15Kgs and can cause serious injury in the wrong hands, in the wrong place, kill switch or not. Just a consideration to think about, fella, as i'm surprised about how little options i have to bash
  3. one for you brush less boys. one hell of a bold statement

Then it pulls a car, not sure if this means its really good or not, not a clue with lecky stuff tbh,

As far as I know, he built that and then did very little with it. A lot of people shot it down stating that single motor set-ups are far superior. Each to their own.

They do these things then.... use them on nice flat tarmac. Hmmm. Bet they'd go bang if they went off-road. Waste of time. Seemed a bit tail happy too.

  4. Still got your other one though with the dual servos set up, was looking at selling it for a krakken or DHammer, but think i'll keep them all from what i've seen
  5. a washer over the screw, big enough to stop it pulling off helps if its what i think it is. Gasket seal on the gasket between exhaust and manifold unless you've been landing hard on the exhaust and it may have twisted a fraction and not seating flush. Just a very thin layer though and tighten up well with decent gasket. available from car spares shop. http://www.jbweld.com/products/hi-temp-red-silicone Some people dont like this as a fix, but just a smidge works wonders for me, before they all start shouting at me
  6. thanks Leo i have twin savox servos on the steering is it big enough
  7. where exactly is this please fella ?

Its out. Pretty sure there is still stock in the US, but no more in the UK. MMR are apparently expecting more to come in during July.

  11. air filter was off to check that some piece of plastic may have been fouling the carb. doesnt make any difference for what i'm doing, the engines are a simple thing, compression, spark, fuel, if you have all 3 then it should...theoretically go, otherwise you could alter the resistance of the air filter dependant on how much oil you have on it. appreciate the suggestion. old carb on and new plug runs sweet now, must be something with the brand new carb... Cheers everyone
  12. made a bit of progress, by winding the lsn out 2 1/4 turns it runs without stopping but revving its nuts off, checked the needles are not bend, all good, decided to take the new walbro carb off and put a used one on, bugger wont even start at all now.....Doh !
  13. A little bit long but please bear with it and advise if its something simple which i've done wrong. Engine is brand new and Carb. Killswitch has been disconnected aswell
  14. is this stock?, can you post any more details of transmitter etc please
  15. lovely, fella, really nice, just seen the price though...... gulp.
  16. i thought you were oldhams answer to tom cruise !!
  17. what have you been feeding him Tom, hes a foot or so taller than i last saw you up there, time flies
  18. , i've about 8 for some reason??? (coils) i'm sure i have a new killswitch from Johhy roger somewhere
  19. ill pull it from receiver and see, like the way your thinking Evssv, had a bit of pain with it a while ago, when it was stationary ticking over you could turn full left, engine would bog and cut out !!! Baffled me for ages thought it was battery low, but bloomin killswitch.... Hmmmmmmmm
  20. Is it an air leak problem then.. the fact it revs its nuts off when starting and slowly over a few seconds slows down to a stop and cuts out, cant get why it revs its nuts off, wonder if i have got one of the carb gaskets wrong,(with the little holes lining up)
  21. Fuels lines Good, never checked the bolts, assumed new donkey would be sound. Good point Hyper, Thankyou, I'll check tonight
  22. just put a brand new CY 26cc which came off a new 5ive in a badger. Choke on, rasps after 3rd pull, Choke off, engine starts straight away but revving its nuts off for a couple of seconds, before revs slowing down and then stops. Throttle servo is in neutral position, will rev but bogs down a bit before stalling. LSP &HSP needles set to factory 1 1/4 & 1 1/2 Any suggestions before i pull it all apart again.
  23. Great to know you have fields etc , but just a suggestion, share the location so others can join you if its a place where no one can be upset or maon about noise. Unless you dont want to play out with others
