  1. Had a day of 2 extremes with the RC’s on the good side painted the TRX4 body this morning finally 😆 now on to the thing I can’t believe happened wish I had it on video to prove it anyway took the TRX4 for a walk up on a cliff lovely walk it was to all the battery’s had gone flat so was taking the battery out to pack it all up and go home while I was putting the battery away in the back pack the body was off and being it’s pretty windy and being on top the the cliff on the footpath the wind picked and picked the whole body off the ground and like a kite it went over the cliff and landed on the rocks at the bottom so the sea has claimed my purple TRX4 body 😢 still can’t stop laughing and raging at the same time 🤣😤🤬

    Sorted

    Sorted now
  3. 2 new steering links from UKmonster for the clodbuster not that I have 2 servos to put on at the moment though 🤣
  4. Oh yeah still a lot of warping for 2 squirts though don’t know how many it would take to fill the 6 holes though 🤔don’t really want to find out no to be honest
  5. Really it’s that effected by hot glue ? I’ve used hot glue on multiple poly body’s to do what you did and didn’t warp any of them back to the drawing board I suppose 🤔
  6. Done a bit today this morning I started soldering the lights only to have the 3d printed light buckets I brought wouldn’t fit with the roll cage on the TRX4 🙄 so just drilled 3/5mm holes in the original light bit things still need to make a couple more lights up but things started to go south so stop that cut out the f100 body for the stampede then this evening started building the clodbuster
  7. So slow but steady pace is being made with the recovery build and been wondering if the is a way or part to cover the 3 holes on each side where the roll cage attaches to ? I had an idea of covering them with stickers and putting a bit of hot glue behind the sticker to stiffen it up a bit as I keep thinking of having no roll cage 🤔
  8. I’m just liking the idea of stepping out the door a boom away you go 😁 plus you can change it up from time to time
  9. I’m still looking at getting a trx4m to do exactly this in my garden I’m also contemplating doing a rockery in the garden for the bigger ones 🤔
  10. I’m not going to bother changing it unless it packs up will stick the program box on a see what I can change 😁
  11. The ESC in the cragsman c is a WP 0880 dual a copy of this https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/hobbywing-quicrun-0880-dual-motor-brushed-esc-80a-waterproof-440053 but with only 2 motor wires instead of 4 it’s the same ESC that is in my new clodbuster 🤣
  12. So maybe not then I’m not sure what ESC comes with the cragsman I’ll have to check
  13. Looks like I’ll be getting another one for the cragsman c then 🤣
  14. I thought the TRX4 used 540 as HW quicrun fusion pro is a 540 I’m not 100% clued up in the motor size stuff but not much in a 540/550 motor the 550 are slightly longer aren’t they?
  15. Don’t think my skills will allow me to make one of them 🤣
  16. I second what @Stormbringer says I have one in my TRX4 don’t think I will look at a brushed system again says it’s for 1/10 scale but I’m curious if it will work in my traction hobby cragsman c that’s 1/8 scale 🤔
  17. Yes yes I do that is exactly what I’ll do 👍 I can continue on with it now 😁
  18. I’m exactly the same 😁 when people ask me why I don’t really use them I explain to them what you said and they just look at me and say why 🤣
  19. I was thinking of using red wire for the + and - on the LED’s I’m doing but quickly decided not to would get a bit confusing 🤣
  20. Started the soldering job on my off road recovery project that quickly came to a holt when I realised I only have red wire and no black wire 🤣 so can’t do anything else with at now until next week 🙄
  21. That’s a good idea but the beacon lights need 3 position move one way to turn on/off and the other way to circle through the flash modes 👍 think I might have come up with something I’m going to try but need to wait until next week as I don’t have the bits I need 🙄 if it doesn’t I’ll just not bother with one set but I’m really wanting a beacon bar on top have a choice of 4 styles and flashing lights in the grill have an idea of using the 2 speed channel so when in low gear the lights in the grill turn on and off in high gear as much as this is annoying me try things and thinking of ways to go about it I’m having a blast with this project 😁
  22. That’s what happened with my purple one so got another one to do the recovery theme 👍 then when that’s done will probably get another one 🤣do want to do a pick up style body 🤔
  23. I have the RC4WD light controller that’s what’s going to control the spot lights and light bar also the head and tail lights 👍 I think the best way to do this is use a dedicated separate controller like you said I do have a GT3C I’m going to hack have everything I need to do it except the new receiver I can’t remember what ones I can use with a hacked GT3C ? that way I’ll have up to 8ch and several can be programmed to a 3 position switch
