  10. Few from my run out at the weekend...
  11. Charged up the batteries and managed to get out for a run. Old disused quarry close to home with a good mix of loose heaps, trails, rock climbs & descents, tree roots and the like. Really pleased how it performed but tyres let it down on occasions and will be replaced with an alternative, was a good test of different surfaces & terrain though. Sadly managed to sustain some damage but nothing that can't be fixed and as I said at the start, its a basher and built for use!!
  12. Since the last update I have wired up all electrics, added winch controller, installed front and rear LEDs and replaced shocks with internal spring jobbies. Originally I wasn't intending to have an interior but keep it more 'basic' but decided to change track, can always remove it Obligatory flex shot!! Well...... I think that's about it!!! At the beginning I set out to build something capable and performing over scale/looks and perhaps I have gone a bit too far?? Time will tell on a run and hopefully give it a spin at a local haunt next few days

  14. Ordered a few bits.... Hobbywing Quikrun 1080 ESC, Winch and controller Arrived and installed Thought it should have a cage on the rear but can't weld for toffee!! Had a trial brazing with aluminum tube and repair rods, limited success but not good Plan B was no welding, bending the tube was a struggle at times but think it turned out pretty good??? Rubbed down and painted Winch bracket fabricated and installed, cage attached and here we are.... Thanks for looking and more to come 👍
  15. Got an SCX10 chassis and set about building a basher, not a shelfer. had no idea what shell to use, everything seemed to be out of stock or mega bucks. While having a clear out found a chinese clone D90 shell and started thinking..... Few days later I had a couple of ideas and set off, not really sure what I was doing or which way it would end up Anyway, masking tape and a pencil..... Lots of dust, bits glue and filler .... Sanded, painted and this is the result Not sure which way the rear is going to end up, trayback, cage or maybe just as is. Whatever, it is going to be a used and abused Few more bits on their way and more pics as I progress 👍
  16. Few weeks ago did a deal (again!!) and met up with @Gaz! , came back with a few bits, this being among them, Xtra Speed Land Rover D110 pick up hard body. Initial paint job (not by Gaz) needed redoing so thought it'd keep me busy for a bit Filled, sanded and couple of coats of primer Original intention was to do a 'traditional' colour scheme but while looking at pics I changed my mind!! Hopefully get chance to put it together and get the interior in this week 👍
