  1. Guys what's an ok upgrade for a steering servo on my trophy truggy, think the servo is on its way out was playing up the other day and read there not brilliant so didn't want it to give up whilst I'm out bashing. It's a standard truggy my budget is around
  2. Just thought I'd update the thread to let anyone interested know had it running for couple of weeks now and gotta say if anyone is thinking of buying one then I'd say go for it!! The software installed by these guys is great comes with all the add ons you'd ever need and there customer service is brilliant, any problems and there technical support are straight on it and I had a few problems in the first week and I'm not too tech savvy. Pretty easy to use as well, quality on some of the films better than I thought, I've only got around 5mb internet speed and watched a film in 1080p with no buffering also me n the lad watched a 3d film last night paused it at the beginning for a min and no buffering through out! Can't recommend the box enough and the above company even more.
  3. Well it arrived and I've set it up, not had a chance to play with it much due to work but so far pretty impressed my internet is only 5mb and the only bit of buffering I've had is on a 3d movie, other than that watched a couple of films and quality has been pretty good and didn't have to mess about too much to find them so pleased at the moment. Trying to figure out how to add the retro games now.
  4. Yeah that's one thing my mate said is try to hardwire it to your router, it means moving it from were it is into the tv canner somehow but if it makes a big difference then it's worth it!
  5. I never knew that, does the xbox need a special program or would someone who knows what there doing need to install it? I've ordered it anyway as I've heard good reviews but I have heard you need good internet speeds, ours isn't brilliant at the moment but gonna have a play with the box and if I can get on with using it and I'm happy then il drop sky package down and upgrade to fibre optic Internet, still got a few months left on contract yet anyway and were on the top package but got a good price for 12 months so once that ends just get rid of movies and sports as that alone will save a fair few quid.
  6. I've already got an xbox one think the Mrs wouldn't be too pleased if I bought a ps4 as well[emoji16] as much as I'd like to.
  7. http://www.droidsticks.co.uk/shop/combo-ultra-m8-u-m8-droid-tv-box-s802-s77-pro-remote/ Or one similar? Been looking at these for a while and there's loads about but a friends recommended this model but he's not tech savvy so wanted to know if anyone on here knows if there any good or is there better model for similar money? Our sky tv promotion runs out in new year so was thinking of cancelling and just having one of these.
  8. Cheers mate very kind off you to offer.
  9. How you finding it mate? I looked at one today quickly as my old iPad 2 is 3 years old now and starting to struggle and is pretty slow, although I might just be comparing it to my phone.
  10. The perfect brushless basher for the kind of money they fetch, but I'm thinking you will go over budget if you have no equipment already.
  11. I havnt been for a while as it's about 25-30 min drive so oxshott is handy if I'm stuck for time but I gotta agree the sand there can be a pain sometimes especially when it's wet. I was hoping to get over to addlestone tomorrow but it's sister in laws birthday so don't think il be able to, although I've got a day off work Monday so if I get time might go over then.
  12. Have a look at addlestone bmx track on you tube mate not been for a while but I'm sure last time I did it was like fine loose gravel not sandy at all and no big rocks to hit.
  13. Yep not far mate hook arena is just beyond that foggy field in the distance! You local?
  14. Stupid phone sent that before I finished!! Does the company your working for do the bikes to work scheme? I did that couple of years ago comes straight out your salary no credit check no interest charge and slightly cheaper than shop price.
  15. Sorry it's not a video but all I got is pictures of some fog trying to cross the road the other morning Then five mins later.. Got some lightening pics somewhere but think there on the pc.
  16. Yeah that would definitely have an effect on it sounding as with the door almost shut would be a lot harder for smoke to travel into the sensor, we also advise to run a Hoover over the outside every month or so as they fill up with dust which can affect them slightly, but at least it's working that's the main thing and I'm sure it would have gone off had you not discovered it so quickly. You'd be surprised at the amount of people who have them fitted and when you ask them if they work they answer 'think so' then you test it and nothing, battery flat or not even in there! without a battery it's just a lump of plastic on the ceiling, even had some people say they don't need or want a smoke alarm when we ask them if they want a free one fitted.
  17. Glad that's the only damage mate, but as said if that is a genuine charger I would be straight back to the company who supplied it, I'm a fireman and come across things like this alot and And problems with faulty chargers are a big thing at the moment. Also was your smoke alarm on the ceiling? I know it's sounds a silly question but your be amazed how many people put them on the wall about five feet high, also how old is it? Might be worth getting a new one, depending were abouts in the country you are your local brigade might fit them for free as we do in London and there pretty good quality.
  18. If your over shepperton area think addlestone bmx tracks not far and pretty good spot for bashing.
  19. Yeah he's been quite good at saving it as well as when relatives visit they give him a pound here and there, although I think alot of the time he forgets he has it so will see how long he can save it up for now.
  20. Well ive started with a pound a week then I might introduce a few little jobs for him to do and earn some more especially if there's something particular he's saving for.
  21. I was about to buy one of these as well boarded some of our loft a while ago gonna do some more and have my den up there and a scalextric for the boy, our hatch opens down on a hinge what type would we need mate. Sorry to jump in on ya thread mate.[emoji15]
