  1. Get a bit of fuel tubing and place it in the diff side of the shaft. This will stop the shaft moving towards the diff which means it should stay firmly in place. Hope you understand that ^^
  2. So you have absolutly no brakes?
  3. Hoestly, no idea. Worked for a few races, thought this is great! and then it just started hising at me so i had to cut it off in double quick time.
  4. I noticed mine until it blew up. Couldn't be bothered to put another one on.
  5. The ones in your first link, show a connector for wire to wire, although i have seen people use them for batts. The ones you bought, are for connecting wire to batt although if your a good solderer you maybe able to use them for wire to wire, but it maybe untidy and not a brilliant connection. As james says, the only reason you need to connect wire to wire is for a quick motor change, and a stickpack battery pack like in the first link.
  6. You dont need to tin it with flux, it just helps. Heat up the wire while holding the wire in a pair of pliers, then just push the solder into the wire. Dont push too much in tho.
  7. Thats a point, i recoment bending a batt bar in half and solder the female to it when you need to solder it onto a batt. Make sure that the heatshrink it still intact when you do this though as when you bend the bar over, if it touches the bare batt, then you will short out that cell. From your original post though i was thinking you wanted to solder wire to wire instead of batt to wire?
  8. Soldering them is easy. Heat up the tube, put some solder in there, and slot in the wire. And just wait for them to cool down. With the Males it will prob be best to mount the wire at a 90 deg angle. Just tin the wire, re heat it and push it down with some pliers. There easier to get in and out when the wires are in place, just tug and the wires. They will be pretty tough but thats only to stop them from coming out.
  9. Personaly i dont see theres any difference. They both do the same job.
  10. Discard tyres, not wheels. People usualy want to get the tyres off the rims just so they can fit new tyres without having to buy rims, inserts and tyres.
  11. Hate to say it, but i wouldnt want there to be a fourth. All 3 were really good and the 3rd was amazing. Lets not spoil the trilogy.
  12. Im a tight git though, what do you expect
  13. People re use the inserts out of them aswell, it all adds up.
  14. Check the clucth bell, it maybe abit knackerd. Have you changed the gearing at all? Sometimes if you gear it too high, too much stress will be put on the gear, therfore it just strips instead of moving the car.
  15. Never really watched the IT crowd, but the times i did i was in stictches.
  16. lol done it too many times to count. Deans are easy. Tin the wire, hold wire against connector, heat up wire from side, and it will solder in place.

  18. Your correct, i was refering to the difference between corallys and Deans. I dont know the exact figure, but it was something that small that no one would notice a difference. Tamiya connectors just plain suck unless your using a silver can motor and low Mah batts. Absolutly no good for racing.
  19. I think there is a performance difference, but its something like 0.000003 or something. You wont notcie the difference at all. Just personal preferance.
  20. What sort of engine does it take? You can probably pick up an OK engine for £30 odd quid from ebay if your not that fussed and on a tight budget.
  21. Jokes on you, Millions is the paypal fees, hes set to make billions.

  23. If your running on dry ground, the engine wont steam if its too hot. Like reef said, are you running it somewhere damp? Have you spilt fuel in the the heat sink or around the engine?
  24. LOL David Spashett gave me a tip that day... Glue the damn tyres to the rims Still didnt make it any better... Rear end was flapping like a fish
