To answer the original post; it's deliberate, authors often make references to other books as a kind of joke. It's called a literary reference.

If it's not getting past the boot stage then windows is nothing to do with it. You need to clear CMOS, to do that find the CMOS jumper on the MB and stick the clear CMOS header onto it for a few seconds.

I occasionally see a kind of liquid thing "floating" over my eye, I've always thought this was just the eye's natural fluid? I've never seen the "flashes" though that is apparently part of the problem.

I've got to make a propaganda poster for a uni presentation. I've made the attached file on on Word but it's only A4 sized, the actual poster needs to be A1 size. Does anybody know a good/easy way of making it that size and keeping all the proportions the same and things in the same place? poster_2.doc
