  1. I've been considering getting into FPV drones for a while, the idea of actually piloting a flying thing in FPV seems exciting to me and might even give me a bit of an adrenaline kick? 😄 I do like the full FPV cinematic setups with GoPros and I think this is the direction I would like to head towards. But first, I just want to try FPV out and wanted something cheap just to give it a go, what would people recommend as a setup, or RTR? No budget but keep in mind this is just for me to get a taste. Also, how good quality are the top spec FPV goggles/cameras when you are flying, is it actually high-definition clear? I don't want such a setup yet but I'm curious how immersive they are. Thanks.

With a 4S battery, enjoy effortless wheelies when earthbound and backflips when airborne. If a nimbler and more responsive feel is preferred, drop in a 3S pack for a truly satisfying and unique driving experience. Using a fresh, innovative design approach toward a blend of versatility and performance while remaining remarkably durable, the Sketer platform designers emphasized chassis strength and stiffness, ideal suspension travel and spring/dampener rates, and convenience details like wire routing and convenient component cooling. Using heavy-duty, overqualified components like the Torox 135 2-4S programmable ESC with low voltage LiPo protection and Kuron 725 2150Kv 4-pole brushless motor from the larger 1/8 scale Radix 4 buggy, the Sketer emphasizes best-in-class innovation and execution. Why settle for basically acceptable or merely adequate? Not only are the electronics considered best-in-class, but the driveline and differential components are either exactly the same part or at minimum the same material as used in Team Corally RTR 1/8-scale 6S machines. If you're looking for large-scale performance in a 1/10-scale monster bashing/stunt truck, look no further than the Sketer XP from Team Corally! Driving in any season, anytime, anywhere The Team Corally Sketer XP is equipped with water resistant electronics, making it ready for use in most conditions. Not only is the ESC resistant to splashing water and mud, but the steering servo and receiver are also weatherproofed by special water-resistant PCB coatings. 4. I think it's awesome, I would totally be in the same boat as you guys knocking it for being "another Defender" - but this raises the bar, it isn't some lousy polycarbonate shell with some stickers for the lights. They've smashed it out the park. @m4inbrain / @Ross9999992 - the screws you see in the photo actually screw into a "quick release" bar that then clips into the chassis. So the chassis comes with 2x bars you screw into the shell either side with the small screws you are seeing, then these bars quick releases on/off the chassis. 🙂 It's actually really clever, much more sturdy than velcro or magnets and very discreet!
  5. This is always a turn off for me with RC cars. I get it in the true scaler world, but not for a basher. Otherwise it looks great, I'd of liked it with the figures out and panels on the sides - it does look like there is some mounting holes on the roll bar on the sides... so panels could well be a future option? I can't see what other reason they would be there for.

  8. Welcome fellow shire person. 😄 Not many 1/5 petrols about these days. Keep 'em going!
  9. This was a glitch that night, all okay now. Thanks for reporting. 🙂 Aha! It should link to a page that tells you about the different skill levels and what they all mean. I have fixed this now. Thank you. 🙂 In the search bar when it drops down with suggestions I've now made it display categories (so if you type "pinion" it recommends the pinion category). Going to a category will give you much better filters than just searching for a keyword.
  10. @Shergar oh yeah, Mtroniks are powered by smoke, if it comes out they stop working!
  11. Oh these are great fun! I had one once, put a 7000kv brushless system in with 3s, the tracks fired off like elastic bands! Best sticking to brushed with these. Brilliant photos. Just needs a plow.
  12. Yeah I agree, he hasn't diversified at all.
  13. Good location shouts! I'll certainly be in touch we can plan together. 🙂 Just 1 day, I was thinking of keeping it casual, 10am start, finish early afternoon, 3-4 hour crawl. Can have a bit of fun without it becoming too much of a long drawn out day, especially those who might travel far.
  14. Sounds like there is enough interest! 😄 Well I'll probably wait until some warmer weather before planning things, it will most likely be in North/West Yorkshire - since that's where I am. Haha! I know what you're saying, I actually have never owned a crawler but the idea of doing something worthy of being charitable with faster stuff would probably mean a 24hr race, which I'm at an age now where I like to be in bed before 10pm. I will try to find a place with challenging terrain so it isn't just a walk with your pet RC. 😛
  15. He's released a Christmas song... Not sure if it will make the #1 spot this year...
  16. What have we all asked Santa to bring us in his magical sack of RC goodies this year?
  17. Hey guys, I've been thinking of ways to raise a little more money for charity and do something a bit fun as well! How about maybe in 2022 we get together and do a charity scale/crawl? Find a decent peak to get to the top of or a 5km stretch over some country side that would take a few hours, like an endurance run? Just testing the water, so let me know your thoughts! 🙂
  18. The majority is due to the deals struck with suppliers, there are a couple of retailers though that have much lower overheads (couple of employees, small premise etc) that can run on smaller margins.
  19. Ahh, I think because you search "pinion" it only shows categories as filters. If you go to the pinion section (Electric > Pinion Gears) they are all there: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/electric/pinion-gears We try to add these as much as we can. 🙂 There are a lot of models! Are you on desktop or mobile? This can all be filtered down using the filters. 🙂
  20. Battery dimensions have no been added thanks to Kris who is the data entry wizard at Modelsport! 😄 I believe he is also working on CST for oils too. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
  21. These filters are there for pitch and bore. 😄 😉 That's a good idea, I'll add it to the list! Probably when the madness of Christmas is over... 🙂
  22. These are all great suggestions! Thank you! The filters do create a lot of debate in the office with what is what. It's a good idea and one we've had before, but with the vast range of products, the similarities are far between. I will have a think, as it might be easy enough to implement anyway.
  23. Hey guys, For those who don't know I developed the latest Modelsport.co.uk website earlier this year and would love your feedback on how it can be improved further. This can be suggestions on features you like on other websites or just bits you don't get on with too well that you feel could be done better. My main focus from the previous website was to allow for better filtering with the checkbox filters and a much more mobile friendly interface. I'm really happy with the website but that doesn't mean I'm right! I look forward to your feedback to help me in future updates/fixes. www.modelsport.co.uk 😛
  24. Welcome! 😄 Good collection there!
